The Realms of Chaos campaign is nothing to write home about. It's an okay campaign but the time pressure - and the pressure to keep your settlement count small - is very different from most Total War campaigns. I respect them for trying something different though.

The Immortal Empires campaign, however, is the culmination of almost a decade of work by Creative Assembly to build a version of this world that everyone loved so much on tabletop and in roleplaying games. It is a gigantic, sprawling campaign map where you could very easily replay every faction - even those from previous games - and get a different experience given the new Crisis system and the new areas of the map making the defensible indefensible. You could very easily play twenty campaigns with each their own twenty hours of play and still not yet be done.

They stumbled with Shadows of Change, initially overcharging for the DLC. But they course-corrected very quickly and you have to hand the response to them. I very much look forward to Thrones of Decay and the next hopefully two to three years of content that CA has for us for Total War Warhammer 3.
