Finally, a successor to Overwatch. It's been difficult for a lot of companies to try to capture the same lightning in a bottle, but it seems NetEase has managed to do just that. It takes many of the things that made Overwatch fun and slightly tweaks them. Some may call it unoriginal or copying but truly this feels like the next great iteration on hero shooters. The game does have several cosmetics that require currency that is much easier to simply purchase, but beyond some time saving, there is no exclusive content to real money. The battle passes seem reasonably priced for their content, and they don't expire so FOMO is a non issue. I'm excited to see how well NetEase does at continuing to support the game in the coming year.
