ACCIO THUMPS UP!

(A game that's actually worth the full price)

It is perfect? No.

But it's the best NFS game we've got since U2.

Two things that would've made it better for me:

- more end-tier cars, and more up-to-date S+ cars.
- a more open, less on-rails campaign

I really digged the first Sniper Ghost Warror Contracts. It's comparable to 2 in many ways, except that the missions in 2 feels very grindy and messily put together. There's not much to the story either.

Oh, and the protagonist feels like a creepy sociopath.

What i'm trying to say is, go and play 1 if you haven't already.

A solid 7/10.

Feels, looks and plays like a game from circa 2014 (even absolutely maxed out at 1440p). But if you need the zombie/survival-itch scratched, Days Gone might do it for you.

Just don't expect too much, and buy it on sale.

Would feel right at home around 2005. Too little too late.

70/100

Pretty good RTS. A bit clunky, unwieldy and old-fashioned at times, but overall not too bad. The Campaign is worth the price in and on itself, but needs some adjustments to difficulty-scaling during various encounters.

Recommended if you got an RTS itch that needs scratching.

70/100, especially after giving us an option to remove the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying mouse smoothing

First: don't expect or compare this to The Witcher trilogy - two very, very different games! CP77 closest relative is the Deux Ex: HR and MD series (which are fantastic btw.)

Secondly, CP77 runs without any problems on my 5 year old GTX 1080 at medium settings @ 1440p, while still looking awesome. I did not encounter any game breaking bugs in my 20-25 hours playtime. (Disc: I did run the game on a Zen 3 5800X with 32gb fast mem and a highspeed gen-4 nvme SSD)

Pro's:

- (Feels and plays a lot like Deux Ex. If you're a fan like me that's a plus)
- FANTASTIC overall art-direction
- Extreme attention to details in pretty much every item, environment, character etc. Some of the best I have ever seen, in ANY game.
- The shear scope of Nigh City boggles the mind. It's a monument to what's technically possible in today's game engines. The people that designed NC needs some kind of reward.
- Excellent voice acting
- Fantastic storytelling, and fantastic side stories, that touches on a lot of ongoing themes in today's society. So much background lore that seamlessly binds it all together.
- Great humour

Con's (nothing major here):

- Customization: you will rarely see yourself. Ever. And that kind of discourages you to give a ♥♥♥♥ about looks of gear, weapons, avatar looks etc. Hugely missed opportunity. You will ride around on bikes and cars, but they can't be customized either.
- Skill are actually mostly useless. You can get by with 10% of them activated, the remaining 90% just feels pointless.
- Quality of life stuff: No hotkey for quickload, no hotkey for holster weapon, weird hair bugs, minimap very closely zoomed in while driving.
