A dream come true.

I never expected these games that were a huge part of my younger years to finally come to PC and here we are.

The campaigns are as fun and memorable as I remember, but unfortunately there is no split-screen co-op option for PC. So if you're looking to bring a buddy into the fray on the same PC, sorry. It's supposedly in 343's current "backlog" though.

Multiplayer, while I never really got into it. It's enjoyable but unfortunately has it's fair share of outdated issues that plague it, such as poor matchmaking that forces low skill rank players to play against the same team-stacking high rankers who treat every match like it's the MLG Championship which kills the lobby of any fun and leaves a bad experience on their part. Quitters and AFK'ers are another thing, people who are either forced to quit/stand idle due to poor connection or just rage-quit because they're losing are usually never kicked/replaced by someone else waiting in the queue that result in lopsided teams. Can't tell how many times I've had matches where it was 1v4 (the one person idling) or even 3v6 (rage quitters). Overall you're usually going to be playing a lot of 4v4s against the same people and queue for a looong time finding a 8v8 BTB game outside of 3, Reach and 4 due to the low playerbase in some of the old games, especially in CE, 2 and 2A.

These are just some issues I've experienced that can be fixed with a custom server browser, which is apparently being prioritized at the moment. For the most part, the current MP still has it's moments. But if PVP isn't your thing, you can also try "Firefight" which is only available in two games (ODST and Reach) which has you and a few other people holdout against waves of enemy AI, it's fun and chaotic but overtime gets a bit too repetitive due to lack of variety and customization on the default matchmaking. Modding is also a thing, which either improves upon the experience for better or worse. But it can only be enabled by starting up MCC with anti-cheat turned off which also disables achievements and season points.

There is a huge set of achievements to keep you coming back to the campaign and completing in-game challenges that reward you with season points that allow you to spend them on cosmetic skins for MP. Overall, these are still a great set of FPS games I recommend playing.
