Friends+Valve+Zombies. Even though the cast is far more richier and better than the ones on the second game, the second games does has LOTS OF FUN WEAPONS! If I were you I would buy both, just to get the best of both.

Funny fact. It took me waaaaay too long to play this series. Mostly due to a childhood trauma I got when playing the demo of the first installment at a friends house, at a very impressionable age. It just delayed inevitable songs of glory from yet another now fan.

This game reeks developer love and dedication, by bringing out an excellent story delivered in one of the best possible ways.
The gameplay is phenomenal and keeping it unique even by today standards. You're not watching the story, you're entranced by it. You are it. The world builds around you and the feelings are delivered sometimes far better and engaging than you ever expected.

This was also the introductory game for the Source engine and therefore I feel Like I should also use this review to congratulate Valve on the amazing job they did. Still considered one of the best engines for game development.

In my toddler times I spent a great deal of time playing this. Many sequels have come and gone, but so far I still think of this as one, if not the best version.

However it did not aged well. Most servers are filled with hackers or oblige you to install shady protection solutions on your computer.

This is a music game where your instrument is the mouse/keyboard and your music is whatever you have on your hdd.

It's a dirty cheap game. A huge timesink, but thanks to the wide options it definitely worth pouring your time into it!

I bought the Potato Pack and this was one of those games...
The kind that looks like it's going to sit at your library forever waiting for that second time of attention. After booting it up the feeling remained. But only until the hitting the play level button. It didn't take long for me to feel embarrassed. I bet if I could, I would've slapped my past self!

This is a futuristic tower defense game.
The graphics are nothing phenomenal, but one of the best in the genre.
The Soundtrack could be a better as it becomes tedious quite fast.
The plot and story could be far more engaging however these two are compensated with an A.I. with an active and engaging dialog with e a cheesy/fake(?) British voice.
And finally it holds great gameplay mechanics. Far better than any other I've tried in the genre, taking the strategy element to whole new level.

If you appreciate a good strategy or tower defense you should try this.

A superb game. A crazy idea deployed with a great soundtrack.

Sometimes it can be frustrating to get that score you need, but at the end the reward is more than enough. However do take into account I played this during the Portal 2 ARG, which raises the question if I would have played it into such intensity in other circumstances.
