First of all, I would like to say I'm a massive fan of Civ 5 and have spent countless hours playing it.
When Civ 6 came out, I didn't like the game initially as I found it to be too complex, I don't know what I'm doing.

However, recently, the game, together of its expansions were sold on a discount, so I tried it out.
I can tell you that you need watch a few Youtube videos for you to have an idea what you're doing.

In terms of the game itself. if you like 4X games, you'll like this one. Some imagination may be needed, as the game tries to represent real life scenarios with its existing rules. For example, anyone can declare a "state of emergency" if a player (including you!) is too agressive. other civs can band together to send aid to save the civ who is under attack. You can also declare a "state of emergency" if your city was affected by volcano or flood.

In addition, you can do stuff not possible in Civ V, for example:
- create a naval units from a city not near water
- create a mountain tunnel for units to pass through
- create a canal for naval units to pass through

the game is still active and have content (which are optional for your enjoyment)
plus the mod community are also active, so you'll definitely playing this for a while.

the term "Just one more turn..!" is actually true. So, what are you waiting for.
