If you want to play a buggy, prettier version of Fallout 4, this is for you. Oh, also other players. Which isn't that bad. As far as I can tell, the loot pool is individualized, so you don't have to worry about people jacking important items. Environmental items, like the 4 boxes of bulk screws sitting in the Brotherhood FOB near Vault 76, however, can be taken.
The base building is really cool, but be prepared to spend some money to have a decent looking one. Or save up Atoms and just get a pre-made building. There's some pretty cool ones. The multiplayer is seamless for the most part. You can jump in and out of your friends' games at pretty much any time. The only real problem I've run into is your C.A.M.P. being unable to be placed because some jagoff stole your carefully picked spot.
The bugs are many and frustrating. The game's been out for a while, so most of the game breaking bugs are fixed, but every major update, be prepared to scream "BETHESDA!!!!" at your ceiling in rage.
All in all, a good game. If you have problems with spending money on games, skip this one, you're really only missing a bunch of cosmetic crap with some pretty cool raids and weapons here and there.
