Honestly fantastic game that was worth the wait.

The game is visually fantastic and the level design is breath taking. Massive backgrounds while going through a linear level with huge battles going on. Genuinely amazing.

Story was great with quite a twist at the end that feels like it's going to lead into some DLC.

The customization is pretty great! Being able to customize your Space Marine while being in a known chapter or/also creating your very own chapter makes it incredibly solid.

Multiplayer is genuinely fun. There's no limit to the class you play. Can't wait to see what more they plan to add to it.

Now for the only negativity I have for this game. The Operations. They're alright, it's simply another campaign that goes along with the main campaign and adds some context here and there and it's pretty fun. If you're into immersion though and think you're your own space marine, tough luck. You're still seen as an Ultramarine. The actual main downside with Operations in my opinion is locking classes if a player has chosen it first. I see no reason to do this when other games like Darktide allow it. I get that these classes are apparently actual characters in the Ultramarine chapter, but it's such an irritating block. You'll have two brothers who want to be the same class and neither of them wish to change, forcing a third player to just stand and wait until one decides to finally leave the lobby. It's infuriating.

It's an amazing game that brings a huge win for the Warhammer 40,000 franchise and I really hope it has a good life with future content. I'm incredibly looking forward to the horde mode.
