I've played No Man's Sky and it runs mostly ok on my pc. I'm running an AMD FX9370, R9 280X, 16 Gigs of ram, off an SSD, win7. Have yet to have a crash or problems that would cause the game to be unplayable. There is mild stuttering time to time, but other than that I find it runs better than expected on my setup. I've encountered some bugs as: falling out of the world and not being able to alt+tab back into the game after tabbing out (no visual). As for the gameplay it reminds me somewhat of a mix of X2:the threat and the final levels of spore, however it lacks almost any depth to the commerce system, which is almost everywhere. The game is primary an exploration game and that's the its strongest point, if somebody isn't really interested in that, then what it has to offer will seem lacking. It's not a bad game (though some issues really need to be addressed). If you really want a big exploration game, then I think it's mostly worth it and it has some amazing landscapes to look at, but it would probably be smart to wait for a patch that would fix the problems people seem to be having and perhaps a sale.
