Definitely the best auto simulator I've played yet. I'm still tooling around with the world editor, but I can safely say I have had many hours of fun without opening any developer tools whatsoever. Slow motion crashes at 150mph, drifting around corners in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with a welded back diff, or having a few AI chase you off a cliff are just a few of the things possible in this game with just clicks in the UI. Granted, there is a bit of a learning curve and the menus can be slow, but it's still in early access, so give it a chance!

The garage area, where you can make any modification you can think of to any car, is one of my favorite parts. Being able to put a Stage 3 super on a small inline 6 and watching the coolant overheat in minutes is hilarious! Everything is tunable, from the gear ratios to the tire size, to wheel camber, to the brake pads, to the steering wheel, to the badges on the car, etc etc etc.

I will recommend that you get a steering wheel + pedals. While it is 100% possible to drive in this game without some form of keyboard controls, you'll find that there are some unavoidable issues: If you start fishtailing and losing control, countersteering is very difficult. Also, if there was a situation where you did not want to dump the clutch with full throttle, you'll be unpleasantly greeted with tire spin and your tach bouncing off the limiter.

I personally use a flight stick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) since I've already got one, but even that was a huge step up. I did have to get creative with control bindings though.

Very good execution from these devs. If you like cars, you will love this game.

Very demanding on GPU.
Will make you paranoid.
Will keep you up at all hours of the night.
I highly recommend the Squad and Duo modes.
It's hit or miss with randoms but with friends it's a very good time.
Clearing houses has never been more fun.

Insurgency is an industry-defining FPS with beyond excellent graphics, challenging gameplay, and a plethora of gamemodes and community addons. It's almost as if Battlefield, Modern Warfare 2, and CounterStrike had a perfect baby with no bad genes.

One of the most revolutionary aspects of Insurgency is the concept of supply credits. No longer will people run around with a completely decked out rifle, three grenades, heavy armor, and a rocket launcher! Additionally, depending on the class and mode you're playing on, you may not even have enough for any one of those things. And if that wasn't challenging enough by itself, there is also a weight limit. You'll rarely run afoul of it, but when you do, you'll definitely know.

An interesting feature I have not mentioned yet is the solo gamemode. Unfortunately, there is no storyline, but the Solo mode allows you to play any mode, on any map, day or night, all by yourself. Oh, and the bots are ferocious. It's a wonderful way to practice getting familiar with weapons and maps before trying your hand at cooperative or even multiplayer. There's also a tutorial. I highly suggest you run through it, as it teaches you some very important tricks and movement commands.

The Cooperative mode pits you and up to seven other people against bots that want nothing but to take your head off, literally. Whether you're running between safe houses trying to keep everybody alive, systematically clearing the whole map via checkpoints, or just shooting as many as you can before succumbing to an unavoidable RPG, you'll find that communication is key to victory. You'll find that it is a great way to develop the communications skills needed to play competitively, should you desire to do so.

I want to take a moment to acknowledge the absolutely incredible community integration that New World Interactive supports. Everything from custom sounds to scope replacements are available on the Steam community, and all for free. Of course, if a server operator wants to turn these off, that is also available. As per Source2 tradition, server-side mods are very prolific and always available.

Multiplayer is the most saturated of the available modes, with many NWI and private servers alike filled up to the brim with fellow players. Massive battles for control points, weapon caches, and survival dominate your environment, and sometimes you'll have to do it at night, too. God help you.

In early alpha is the competitive matchmaking element. I am hesitant to like this, as professional competitive players also inadvertently bring their snotty, immature fans to the game and, just like CounterStrike Global Offensive, these underage brats ruin not just the competitive element but every mode they abuse, cheat on, and scream at in Russian. It's not easy to play this game though, so hopefully the trash will be limited to the already overplayed modes.

Overall, Insurgency is a very excellent game, and for all the reasons above, is deserved of $14.99 US Dollars. I reccomend this game highly to anyone seeking a challenge, teamplay, and lots of tension. Have fun, and I'll see you in the mountains of Peak. :)

Recenzja CS:GO
CounterStrike is very old, and a very tired concept. Ever since the beginning, it's been police versus terrorists, every game, every time. CounterStrike: Global Offensive is the exact same way. If it weren't for the the scam of a community market and a broken ranking system, it could have just been an update to CounterStrike: Source.

The community market is perhaps the biggest scam that Valve has ever perpetrated. Pay money to change the way your weapon looks, and have no bearing on game performance? Sad! For hundreds of US Dollars, no less. Let's also not forget that Valve takes ~30% of every transaction through the market. It is their market, after all. However, to make zero bearing on game performance is unacceptable. They tried to find a balance between no market integration, and pay-to-win. It ended up like a mullet: half one way and half another, but looking awful all around.

Objectively, there is nothing wrong with the Elo ranking system. It's worked with chess players for many decades. But, when players masquerade as lower ranked players(colloquially known as smurfing), and players cheat at the game, the system falls apart. This has forced Valve to create a more sophisticated, more broken system of ranking players. Recently, they're trying to do something called Prime, which offers more prioritized matchmaking if an account has a unique telephone number tied to it. This, in my opinion, is a step in the right direction; but still too little too late.

CSGO is a strictly multiplayer game: there is no significant single player mode. It is for this reason that it only makes sense to judge the community who plays the game as well as the game itself, as they are a core part of what one will encounter when playing the game.

The community is absolutely horrible, with most of the decent players who are courteous and have more than a basic understanding of English(if at all) retreating to private matches and outside services such as CEVO and ESEA.
There is nothing Valve can do to change the maturity of the players, but the least they could do is implement language in a matchmaking decision(such as favoring against matchmaking a Polish- and Italian-only speakers on the same competitive team)

It is for these reasons that I cannot reccomend this game to anybody but the rude 13 year olds who try to cheat, have 15 different accounts, and enjoy spending hundreds of dollars on irrelevant aesthetics. Save yourself the frustration and buy a better game.

A true showcase of the power(and limitations) of the Source2 Engine, this game secured its place as my personal favorite not for its built in features but for its inherent expansibility. Community contributions made this game popular, and are the most used aspect of the software. Garry's Mod also, perhaps unintentionally, boosted playting of CounterStrike: Source as the two are commonly bundled together. There's a reason I have 300+ hours on this game. I hope. :)

I wouldn't reccomend this game to just anybody though-- those seeking story elements or otherwise lacking imagination should look elsewhere for gaming: you're totally on you're own by default.

Very addicting, yet strangely simple. Very responsive, nice UI, very modern. I am sure I will be playing this game for hours to come.
