I just have to put my two cents in fixing this game's review rating.
I'm 26 hours in, I did a lot of things and still I see that the game ahead of me is several times bigger. And all this time I was, am and will be incredibly entertained.
Everything in this game just feels perfect for me (outside of perfomance - yeah, I have to acknowledge that, I'm not blind). Exploring the world, fighting, riding the Torrent, upgrading all the stuff I can upgrade, exploring some more, studying the lore, backtracking to areas I already explored and discovering 3 new unexplored paths, doing some PVP, exploring some more...
Elden Ring is basically an ideal game for me. It takes everything good from the games I like, something good from the games I don't appreciate enough, fills it in with infinite amount of original mechanics and design choices - and gives me pure fun. And we really need some clean fun in times like this,
Go get it.

UPD: I finished this game twice, once with a total sweep and once with sweeping everything up to Leyndell. Totally worth it!
