This is one of those "I envy anyone who gets to experience it for the first time" kind of games. My personal game of the year, no question.

There is so much that I, and those who have completed 1000xResist, could say about it. It's story is so expertly crafted, and proves that games as a storytelling medium can absolutely be not only viable, but uniquely impact and deeply affecting. I felt such a rich bounty of emotions playing this game, in a way that most games have not made me feel before. I have been gaming for over 30 years, so surely this must be somewhat significant.

The entire week of my play through, I was almost constantly thinking about 1000xResist when I wasn't playing it - unpacking the themes, story beats, revelations, and, most importantly, the way this game's story echoed into my own life and made a very real impact on it. I never expected this to occur, especially considering I picked this up almost on a whim and I'm not even the biggest fan of games where you walk, talk, and do not much else (not a slight on 1000xResist - this game is as close to perfect as you can get in this genre, in my opinion).

Prior to purchase, I didn't watch the trailer for more than 10 seconds before I hit pause to save me from any potential spoilers, no matter how minor. I could tell this was a world worth going into blind.

Buying 1000xResist is the best game purchase decision I have made, probably in my entire life. It was almost all gut, but wow am I ever glad I trusted that feeling! If you see the art design and it resonates with you, if you've heard good things from others, or if you just want someone to recommend something special to you that is almost guaranteed to make you think on a deeper level, buy this and enjoy the ride.
