Game is great, Loving the gameplay, soundtrack and artstyle <3

Pro's:
- Amazing artstyle
- Great music
- I love the gameplay and the possible synergies between builds.

Con's:
- The game is brutally difficult for it's artstyle. I've been used to it since Caveblazers, and it's a game where losing is part of the progress.
- there are some waves of enemies that have some of their own synergy builds as well, some of which that can directly counter your build, it's hard to tell if that's by lack of experience or by choosing the wrong options to make my build.
Tough, sometimes the build you want is not guaranteed to happen, (because that would be broken.) But it's important to adapt to what's currently possible.

I do not see the reason to dislike the game. (Except maybe for a certain funny seafood)
The short sessions makes up for the harder difficulity, and discovering a new build each run keeps it refreshing.
It's a charming and tactical gem, and I see a lot of potentional in the future with it.

Impressive game, definitely for it's size and feels very polished for a NES game.
I love the nostalgic charm that the manual has. There's definitely a lot of love put into it.

Gameplay wise though, due to it's 4-player support, the levels are very open and wide. And the score system doesn't add much incentive if you're playing alone.

Can definitely be more fun with more players.
Now only to find more friends with the same NEStalgia.

You know back in Minecraft where you want to automatise everything with Hoppers? that's how this game feels, but with little to none resource costs.

Though, you always want to spend the time to optimise your engines as much as possible, and there's always room to optimise so it's dangerously addictive.

Other than that, yeah, it's a great, stress free, game.

It's a cute game with a cute style and animations, and it's one of the games that I really try to enjoy, but it doesn't hit me on the right spot.

Some of my thoughts I had while playing through the first 2 areas:
- The game feels very generic and lengthy, or at least has a very slow start, There wasn't much going on and you stay with the same equipment for a long while. Several gameplay elements introduced in the first area seem to stay the same over the rest of the game, and in some cases also start to feel redundant. Grinding enemies for money also becomes stale with the same basic equipment over 8 hours.
- There's only 1 item slot, which you use for all your secundaire items and healing items. The circle helps a little to quick swap them, but that swapping has to be done continiously. I think the game would play much smoother if you had one or two more active item slots.
- Combat itself also has it's issues, mostly the energy requirement for a basic attack, the main attack been a very short-ranged bat against rather mobile enemies. and the rather beefy enemies that drains through your stamina quick.

The Story introduction and the music is nice, as well as the aforementioned artstyle and animations, but the rest...idk, they don't appeal to me as much as I had expected from the trailer.

You've probably played any of the Bloons Tower Defense games a time ago.

Each time they've greatly improved the game with each release, and this one is no exception.

I thought I would've grown a bit weary from the long idle time I've gone through BTD5 and it's spin-offs, but this game opens up a lot of discoveries that makes unique builds refreshing to try again.

It's a big and grindy game and addictive gameplay, and my only gripe is the that I might have played too much Bloons already that the overal experience starts to wear me a little.

It also has microtransactions, but they're more a bonus and are not getting in the way, so overal it's a fair, ad-free game.

Essentially this is exactly what it would've looked like if the lead dev of Kamiko makes a metroidvania.

As a fan of Kamiko, Transiruby is once again a game well done.
Artstyle, design, music and gameplay is all looking solid.
It also has a good amount of dialogue to show some humor as well.
Several recurring elements from Kamiko returns in Transiruby as well.

First playthrough last around 6 hours.
There were probably like 2 puzzles where I got stuck at longer than I expected, in both cases it was because I found the solution at the wrong spot. I don't feel sorry for looking these up though, as the actual solution was in a place I expected less.

There are only a few gripes that holds me back for replayability and speedrunning, and that are unskippable cutscenes, and the slow "door opening" segments. I feel like it would help replaying the game a lot if those could be skipped.

Overall, the game is incredibly charming and worth the try regardless.

Undertale is an...unique game.
It's probably not a game for literal everyone, but it's certainely a game that keeps me thinking.
Thinking so much that I waited to give this game a review for 6 years...so let's just dump my thoughts here.

The game by itself is, simply put, amazing.
Hillarious writing, engaging story, amazing characters, memorable music and so on.
Though to be fair, the graphics are a quite mixed and poor. Perhaps that was done intentionally, some games can show more emotion by doing less.

It's perhaps less of an usual RPG game, and more of an RPG that gives satire on common RPG elements.
Though one of the major things it's centered around is the "Killing monsters is Bad" theme.
And it's weird because it's something that I don't think it should be an issue?

To elaborate: I usually see "monsters" as nothing more than just entities that lives, or spawns, to attack others. (It's also literally their script, after all). These monsters don't have a life on their own, and just exists to be a treat towards those you want to protect.
Some other games are also self-aware that killing enemies is not a good thing to do, but in a war, both sides have no choice. You want the world to be a safer place by fighting for those you love. That's why we usually fight them.

But Undertale hits different, the monsters feel much more alive, and you can interact with them. Every town is filled with monsters and some of them even try to befriend you even while you're not asking for it. And every fight there is also a fight to the death. There just is less reason and motive to fight them, because you actually know nothing of the world you came from, and what their viewpoint of the monsters are. (even though it's probably very one sided towards monsters like all other RPG's). Because you're the only human on a total unknown world, it feels less like a traditional RPG and more of an "Alice in Wonderland" vibe. except Alice found a knife, and now it's up to her what to do with it.

Perhaps because there is less reason to fight them, the reactions for doing so also comes over very unforgiving. (Even though the monsters themselves are also very one-sided towards humans too, even if it only takes one human to change their mind on everything)

Despite the confusion on the theme, this game is still a wild ride to play. it has a lot of fun gags and a suprising deep story. The lack in artstyle greatly makes up for the effort put in all the little things and details you can pull off.
And it's one of the most wholesome and sadistic games I've played (yes, it's both, Toby just manages that somehow)

It's a weird mix of things, so it's hard to tell it'll really fit for everyone.
But I do think that this game is worth to give it a try.
