There are tons of things to be said about how good Rocksmith is for pro & intermediate guitar players, and also absolute noobs, but i'll leave that for a review that i might write later.

For now, i will direct my recommendation toward those who (like my self) are absolute noobs, has no musical background and have never held a musical instrument in their hands ever in their entire life.

To hold a guitar in your hand for the first time; while you have no idea what to do; just makes the guitar seems like rocket-science, and no matter what you try to play; it will sound horrible, but what Rocksmith did is that they took the guitar and turned it into a... 'Video Game Controller'!, yup, with every note, every fret, every string and every technique to just be represented as a button in that video game controller, and then you take that controller and you play the game, and then you master this controller just the same way you mastered every controller you've held in your hands before, but this time the controller you are holding in your hands is actually a real guitar... You WILL LEARN to play guitar. :)

Or, in an old-fashion-commercial style, "I've never played a musical instrument ever in my entire life, and then i went and bought Rocksmith, and now i can rock better than you..." :p
