I feel bad for crapping on this game. It's actually quite good as an RE experience. It's much like Code Veronica in the way it plays and the pacing, but a little smoother and newer for sure. It's also like RE2 though with 2 stories happening simultaneously, for real this time though.

I always liked the A and B scenario in RE2, this is a lot like that, they just make you do both the A and B scenarios at the same time, switching back and forth characters and sometimes working together. Less good for replayability on that front, but this is a decently long Resident Evil, you can't just cruise through it in 2 hours, even if you know what you are doing. It will be rewarding to go through again with a little more knowledge.

I punked out and crapped on it and said it wasn't a good RE game bc it can be fairly confusing at first and I didn't make it off the train I dont think. Now I've beaten it and in fact, it's probably one of the better ones in the series. Really unique, and less gimmicky though compared to something like revelations. The story is decent and it looks nice.

If you can get over having to drop items instead of no box, and switching between characters, solving puzzles w both, taking different paths at the same time etc, then you will actually love this game. It's a really strong classic-esque resident evil. Definitely worth checking out.

I just finished it up on the gamecube and it was great.

I'd say the biggest factor towards people not liking it, is it's not really first run friendly, it will help if you know which character to go which way at first. If you put in the time, and can learn the route just a little bit, then inventory management is less stressful and this is a very rewarding RE experience.

This was my first playthrough, but I have patience, now that I know generally where stuff goes and what items are meant for, the item dropping stuff is no big deal, most stuff is dropped in a central room and I rarely find myself backtracking for countless items. The backtracking was honestly worst on the train, clear it and it really takes off from there.

This gameplay is innovative as ♥♥♥♥. If this weren't so hard, this might have gone more mainstream, but it is the difficulty which also makes it so good. I think they have a handholding type mode but idk how to activate it. This has great depth in movement, combat, everything. Decent story too, nothing sticks out as stupid. Imagine if this is what mirrors edge became instead of the doo doo they put out. Maybe in another timeline.

Seems like the next ghostrunner would kill in sales if it is creative like this one. The platforming through the levels' paths is so damn cool. It looks great and feels great. The character will mostly do what you intend him to do, running on side of walls vs up, climbing on accident etc. but there is a bit of a learning curve and sometimes some unfortunate close misses. These are few and far in bbetween though since the paths and encounters are heavily planned in this game.

The levels can be solved in many ways, but they are linear. So they are planned encounters that are fun, OH SO FUN. Not some open world bad AI crap.

It reminds me of the movement of doom eternal, but with mirrors edge type paths, but 10x more creative with your powers and weapons and the enemy powers and weapons, better movement, more fun. Violent. Less bugs and will be relevant longer. This is the best platforming game in a while. I know the grapple has been around and even in open world games it's there, but this game set this genre forward so much. Movement in general has a new benchmark and some creative ideas.

Also plays like this game called SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell. If you haven't played that one, you should check it out. It's run with the same engine? so the movement is the same, where you look is where you go, all directions included. That game was awesome, and it is a great trainer for movement and execution in general. It is a bit more basic, but really hard as well. You will learn crazier movement on that game honestly if you go for good times, but It prepared me for this game very well.

This game deserves more recognition, it shouldn't be bargain binned. It does ask a lot of the player, you do have to get good, but not in a "sink hours" kinda way, but in a "frustrating retry" kind of way.

It does feel rewarding to put in a little time, and achieve different benchmarks. The game is really fun so far, although there are some choke points that make it hard to want to continue. Laser boss and rotating platform collect 13 orb level were the worst offenders of this so far. Top of the train almost made me mad just now, but it was forgiving.

But this is a dope game. So satisfying. Visuals are always so flashy. (Swag) and the sound design is awesome. Gotta give credit to RoG for their implementation of RGB. Asus Aura will cause your keyboard, mouse, and rig lights to flash different colors and effects to increase the ambiance. It's a great game to include this in.

They leave the advanced movement/glitch type stuff in there too bc it is so hard to do, but if you want, you can solve the levels in your own way. You can launch at double speed and skip over platforms you should need to touch, but I'm just learning how to toy with this. I gotta respect a game that leaves abuseable little techniques in just bc it knows your objective will still be challenging. You can cheese up the side of a wall bc you missed the last jump before a checkpoint, and you still accomplished the goal. It's very cool.

Custom level creator would be cool, like they do snap map in doom, oh my word, if they could pull that off in a sequel, it would make it infinite shelf life.

There are many different ways to solve a level. You're stressed the first time around, but give it time, and what seemed hard will seem easy and fun soon enough.

I would joke, it's sooooo fun...until the enemies come out. LOL. Then I got 1 hour better, and the enemy variety kept expanding. This game just makes sense. It is hard, but worth it if you are a decent gamer.

Final Point: Reflecting a shot back at the shooter or another enemy entirely is baaaaadass.

Latest update messed up the timing for a single bar spin. Can't do it on flatground anymore! FIX THE TIMING YOU BROKE! I hate games that break the building blocks we've been playing with for years and call it an update.

I really only like the sandbox elements of this game, as well as the map SAMP. But I could do a wheelie, bunnie hop bar spin, land in wheelie, and do it again for years, and now thanks to their little update, I can't even bar spin to flat out of a wheelie.

They screwed w the most basic elements of the game. Please fix my block. Also, it isn't nice to block someone from the community hub. If you see bad feedback and can't handle it, you should probably not block them to protect your new crappy game anyways, bc then they have to leave review updates and random youtube comments asking you to fix basic stuff that you broke. It's a bad look for everyone, but I'd be taking this up in community discussions if you weren't such nasty snake people.

And I bet you'd STILL be ignoring me then and crying when nobody liked your new game.

Just fix the Bar Spin...

This game was alright. Check out metal hellsinger though.

They put a lot of support in post release. The game is pretty fun, there are a lot more games like it now though, so check em out, maybe this one will be for you.

When does SEUM 2 come out? Seriously, this is a gem of a game and I wish more people knew about it. It definitely helped me understand and fine tune my movements 100000%. I understand them more than ever now, and it transfers the skill to ALL OTHER GAMES.

Kovak is a mini game set that helps develop aim, SEUM is a Full game package, bulky too, that helps train movement, aim, real time physics, execution, and nerves, and packages it where I can't tell I am training or playing a game.

It is both a trainer and a full title, as long as you pay close enough attention and go for top times, this game progresses like guitar hero, and teaches you how to become a platforming, fireball shooting, warping, floating, rewinding, speedrunning master.

I am not exaggerating about the quality and execution of this game/trainer.

You can also enjoy the game at a more casual level. I haven't even beaten it yet, whereas someone casual might have done so a few times bc they don't want to grind for lower times.

It is very accessible.

I would very much enjoy a Seum sequel bc this is very much a great game, with a bit more polish and budget, maybe it becomes even better and even more well known and popular. The people who created this are geniuses, and I don't even think they knew just how damn well it would all come together.

Foreal, this trains you up so perfectly building skills, perfecting them, and combing them, I can't help but compare it to guitar hero setlist progression.

Music in this game is top notch. I just love it all around. On sale it should be an easy purchase
@ $3.74 Man, that's some value. I'd say this one is worth it even at full asking price, which is 15 bucks at the moment.

I love your game dudes.

If you are thinking about this one, go for it, im telling you.

I appreciate that they did this they are the Devs and Publishers that would. It's okay people dont enjoy it 10/10. ITs a nice thing they did and it's not like their pride and joy or anything, its a creative marketing bit from a great game studio that makes games I enjoy.

I can still play it on Steam, but I can't buy it on Steam for a friend who also doesn't want split libraries and to have epic's cockles raamed up their As sshole.

It was fun, but they unlisted this on STEAM, the platform of choice, bc Epic are opportunist homosexuals. I wont make a fairy epic account to get my info stolen, so they really cornered the market and forced everyone off their platform of choice and onto the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ store of theirs.

Epic is putting strain on the PC platform, fracturing it, while consoles like Sony are releasing stuff here and being nicer to the PC community than EPIC. Shows how much they are NOT a part of that community to pull scum ♥♥♥♥ like this post launch, years post launch even.

Anyways ♥♥♥♥ Epic Game Store. This is the hill I die on.

I'm rewriting this review, turning a once poor one, into a good one. I did give Doom Eternal another chance, they righted their wrongs and additionally I have a machine now that doesn't heat my room into the 80s to run this game, that is nice too.

I was glad to see denuvo DRM get removed from the game. That was a poor choice, it is never okay to implement DRM or microtransactions post launch in that way imo. Props on setting things straight. Some consumers weigh the inclusion or exclusion of these anti consumer features very strongly when choosing to buy.

Now the game is running better, had a few patches, has an expansion and a price point that I can get behind.

This is one of the better games of 2020. Not perfect. But a solid game with a solid soundtrack, fun, decent level design (although questionable aesthetic choices, mech props?) that didn't piss in the fans' faces like other game sequels have this year. The fanbase solidly enjoys this game, together, and I do too.

I think the movement is fluid and fun, and although I hated being forced into the combat loop initially, this neg wore off eventually. I also nitpicked how the armor on baddies makes it so there is only one way to destroy them, and I was off about that too, there are a few different ways to destroy the weak points, some are better than others, and I think there is room for creativity on the players' part. I was too harsh bc I was playing in spurts on a hot machine and having issues here and there. Sub optimal experience originally, but not really the fault of the game. Denuvo pushed it over the edge and I refunded.

I am happy I could repurchase this title and enjoy it once again.

IN A PERFECT WORLD THO... it would be nice if they would put the jump glitch back in as a cheat code or something. And yes, the game would be much more fun with an ACTUAL deathmatch multiplayer, but I guess the battlemode isn't half bad.

Looking forward to the release of part 2 of DLC, and happy to see this game supported by the devs.

Also, wish we had snap map so people could make their own levels. Sure master levels are fun, and they add to replayability, but the levels are all huge links of arena battles, so I'd rather try out some other peoples' arenas. Snap map was part of why doom 2016 had such great shelf life.

Also, I DID NOT want to make a Bethesda account, I def don't want to be launching future Bethesda titles on anything but Steam, so please keep it this way, I conceded and made an account, but this is a hard pass if you pull the ea origins ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I see a game I like, I am looking at price, thinking about whether to consider, and then if I see origins, DRM, running in background, it's an immediate pass and ignore and block the title. They are dumb as ♥♥♥♥ for making people do that for single player experiences, on games almost 5 years old. Im not a fan of the 24.7 connection bs. Sorry. Please keep that in mind as a publisher and don't make your product an immediate hell no for me and others like me.

I was pleasantly surprised you let us buy from steam and only run steam and only make an account to link, not molest us with your launcher. Keep that up if you want my business.

Thanks for the game of the year imo.

This game is on sale RIGHT NOW. This is one of the best values and most fun games you will come across. The fun factor is there. You will be addicted. And it is just such a good title.

This game is awesome. They took the great things from the first, expanded upon them, then polished the ♥♥♥♥♥ out of everything and perfected the gameplay even further. Very fun gameplay.

They also let you customize the appearance of a lot of on screen hud type attributes for enemies, details on them, on yourself, you can stop it from slowing down for sequences, you can fix the tiny gripes you don't like.

Overall this is awesome, more so even than the first and I can't imagine my opinion changing. Im always gonna be on the lookout for more fun games from this studio.

If you are considering purchasing this, do yourself a favor and just go for it. You will know in like 15 minutes whether it was worth your money. You will probably sit there and play the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game if you don't put it down in the first 5.

Shoutout to a great team making a great game. I cried during the credits to either this one or the first one, bc the animation shows you the passion project that I HOPE set the duo free from their unfulfilling lives and allowed them to make a handful of amazing titles.

Good, Cheap, Simple, Fun.

Bravo.

badly paced by the end, story starts answering questions but there is too much going on and I just stop caring. The first one was better, the tight, linear level design with all the details worked out. Ambiguous story that isn't heavily focused on.

The open world aspect to this game makes everything feel like, and it usually is, a simple fetch mission. Instead of planned encounters in specific environments, they leave their AI out in open worlds to bumble around.

Might have been more fun if I didn't have it on normal difficulty, (I missed the note where they say if you liked the difficulty of 1, choose harder, made it stupid easy, wondering what game even exists at the lower difficulty) but it would have just meant more scarcity, not more fun. So much is happening story wise by the end that I don't care.

It might be the open world action shooter/stealth game some people want, but it's not for me. I completed it once and likely will not replay. If you were a fan of the first game, then I would not recommend this one, even though it is similar.

Sucks, bc the first one is not polished and has a few probs of its own, but this goes in a direction that I don't really enjoy.

I finished it once I started though, so points for that, but nah, get the first one if you want to see this vision and story. If you liked the first and don't mind open world, not so planned encounters, maybe this one is worth a playthrough if you can pick it up on sale.
