Zero communication from valve, no new content 10 months into cs2, rampant cheating problem, makes money off of cheaters so they don't hardware ID ban them despite having shown through TF2 that they are fully capable of doing so. The source 2 port was allegedly so that the developers could work on the game more efficiently considering global offensive was built on a decades old engine, but they haven't shown any progress. Valve is fully aware that they are a private company with absolutely no incentives to waste money developing their games, being a monopoly and having no stockholders to please, so they suck their thumbs, release community driven content every few months, and call it a day. Allegedly working on some magical AI driven anti-cheat, but if that fails once it comes out after 20 years, the game will actually be dead to me and, I'm sure, many others. No other live service game this size, and not to mention with this amount of funds, are neglected to this level. Valve has shown through TF2, Dota Underlords, Artifact, and the numerous failed/dropped projects that they have zero restraint in letting a game die out the moment it requires any level of work to maintain. The only thing keeping this game alive is its lack of competition, community, and the fact that the game is simply very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun. Valve themselves do not give a ♥♥♥♥ about this game.
