Introduction

Probably only a distant person from the Internet has not heard about Cyberpunk 2077. At the release date Cyberpunk made as much noise as Avatar did at late 2022. At the beginning more feedbacks were about similarity with GTA and the Witcher, I personally don’t enjoy the GTA games, that’s why I didn’t chase to play the game and make preorder. Two years past after the release and I decided to take the Cyberpunks out of my backlogs.

Picture

Visual part of the game is really amazing! For those who enjoyed scenery of the Skyrim will definitely be admired by the Cyberpunk picture. I personally have never looked into textures before, but here I couldn't resist and looked at all the cracks. Of course it all depends on the devise, from which you are playing.

Main plot

From the Witcher in this game as much as GTA, with one exception. Cyberpunk is similar to GTA only with concept - you are the gangsta who kill opponents to get reward, for killing peaceful people get a police star, may steal cars, and that's where the similarities end. Otherwise, the Cyberpunk is absolutely independent and self-contained. The Main Plot is really interesting, the game draws you in because it is very fast at the beginning, you do not have enough time to analyze what is happening, and you fly forward until the second act. The plot in the beginning is not complicated but there is not a complete understanding of the picture, which is why it is interesting to continue. This can continue until you start doing additional tasks. Additional missions ground you and you delve into the history of the city, not V, this is the fundamental difference between Cyberpunk and Witcher 3. In Witcher 3 - each additional task had an impact on the world that will turn out after passing the game, the so-called butterfly effect. In Cyberpunk there is no butterfly effect, or at least I haven’t seen it.

Mechanics

Game mechanics is tied to two main things - shorter and stealth. You need a car only a first few hours, later you have fast travel points opened and you have no need to use a car (only in some additional missions). In terms of a shooter and stealth, the game reminded me more to Metro 2033 (perhaps because I recently played this game). The same opponents which you are not able to kill with one headshot and the same stealth.

Conclusion

Cyberpunk is like a medley of many different henchmen of different genres. But at the same time it doesn’t look like any of them. Cyberpunk is a self-sufficient and unique product, which for sure made an impact on game-development industry . If we consider the game in the framework of the future saga, then indeed this game is an excellent prequel - we learned a lot about Night City and Cyberpunk universe in general. And only in this case it makes sense to go through all the additional tasks in the game. If there be no sequel, then there is no sense to pass all additional tasks, because additional tasks are about city, not V.
I must clarify that in general, the main tasks and tasks affecting the ending - I really enjoyed. I didn't really like additional missions that much, but they weren't badly done either.

P.S.
There is only ≈10% of all additional missions which tells you Johnny’s story, and ≈15% about V story, all other 75% are about the Night City.
