This game has no combat. While some people may take issue with that, I found that to be very refreshing. All the exploring of Breathe of the Wild with none of the interruption. The atmosphere feels like Shadow of the Colossus and the art style is wonderful. A charming and mysterious world which is rewarding to explore. An intriguing lore and interesting NPCs shape this game into a wonderful experience. Well worth the price of admission. Great for any age.

Can I double recommend this game?

Nuclear Throne has quickly become one of my go-to favourite games of all time. After sinking over 100 hours into this game I'm still eager to play it for another 100.

This game is like a rogue-like, twin stick-esque, bullet hell arcade game, and it's freaking lovely. With active devellopers, a great community, and daily leaderboards, there's no reason not to play Nuclear Throne at least once a day. Not only that but the game itself just feels good to play. The sound design, the immense screen shake as you watch the boss you just killed explode, the detailed and beautiful pixel graphics, it all just adds to the worthwhile experience that Nuclear Throne provides.

While the learning curve for this game may prove difficult for some, practice, determination, ingenuity, and trying out new strategies is rewarded with new high scores and personal bests, as well as the discovery of secrets and new ways to play the game.
