After CTD number X and having no option to save between savepoints, having to do an hour of quest AGAIN to get back into the story, I decided to deinstall.

Really, if you are forced to only save when the game allows (savepoints or when carrying insanely expensive schnapps) and THEN having this kind of bug... Bah. Can't recommend.

There is a mod that allows you to save whenever you want https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/1

But I agree with you. The saving sounded awesome in theory but it's not good in practise
