Nails the mood and gets pretty intense at some points. Great characters and bonkers story. Sometimes the QTE's were in the way of the over-directed action sequences, but nothing major. Some of the voices also sounded a bit rough, like the audio came out of a worn-out tape-recorder, but it didn't bother me. It added to the depressing atmosphere.

I would definitely recommend playing with a controller though.

Saw the ending coming. Nevertheless, had a great time. Smartly written and presented.

Alpha Protocol is one of these OK games.
Not al of its parts work good together, but it has enjoyment.

Pros:
- Branching dialogue and story, giving the game replayability and depth
- Decisions really affect the story in meaningful ways
- Voice Acting is fantastic
- Hacking Minigames are a fun challenge
- Variety of Weapons and Gadgets

Cons:
- Gunplay and cover system feel unbalanced and clunky
- Enemy AI is very stupid
- Stealth is unforgiving and difficult to do at first
- Textures are often bleak and generic
- Boss battles are sometimes frustrating
- Controller support worked first, then went to sh*t for no reason

Even though there are a lot of flaws, the choice of how to move the story forward helped to keep my interest. I wanted to know how the story of my agent would end. If you are a person who can live with generic mediocre gameplay, this game is worth picking up on sale.

A mesmerizing experience, Transistor balances so many smart ideas with beautiful design, that it feels like the game is changing its form while you play it.
In this game there are only the GREAT Things:
- A beautiful futuristic new world, expertly designed and vividly colored
- A story that demands intelligence and a little bit of your imagination
- Turn based combat feels never unfair
- Upgrade options are very organically designed, as you only get to unravel more individual story after trying out different combinations
- Naration is top notch
I highly recommend this game because it is a great refreshing experience among all the garbage that is produced by developers today.

What an awesome game.
I havent played Metal Gear Solid Games before, so this is just an opinion without a comparison to other games in the franchise.

The GREAT Things:
- Exciting, fast paced combat that makes you feel like the most badass cyborg ninja ever to exist
- Includes very practical and satisfying concept to replenish health and collect bonuses
- Beautifuly rendered cutscenes that are worthy of a Hollywood action blockbuster (comic relief and philosophy included)
- Exhilarating Boss Battles, with rapid techno music, that will push your adrenaline levels to peak
- A story that is as straightforward as it is over the top and has some very well rounded interesting characters (especially Raiden)
- Full controller support (Highly recommended)

The ANNOYING Things:
- Sometimes the camera can't keep up with the action
- Some boss attacks are occasionally hard to anticipate and react to
- I found one of the characters annoying (my personal opinion)
These thing however were never a deal-breaker and didnt stop me from enjoying the hell out of the game.

I personally have no issue with the length. It keeps the pace up and is beefed up by the great cutscenes, optional stealth, and challenging VR Missions, making for a good 12 hours in my first playthrough.
EDIT: I realized that this version also inlcudes 2 small DLC stories for 2 different side characters, each with its own new cutscenens and boss battles. While they are not as great as the main game, they are definetly worth checking out, as they add to the story and introduce some interesting new abilities.

This game is the first in a long time to get me heavily invested in the main character and the story, as well as entertaining me with great exciting gameplay along the way. It also made me want to play more Metal Gear Solid games, even though I can imagine none will quite be like this.
Highly recommended.

This is more of the ambitious intriguing narrative and Puzzle Solving Fun, which made the Talos Principle so great. Even thou some puzzles in this game are hard as sh*t, they still reward you with this sweet, sweet feeling of accomplishment you rarely get in your real life.

One of Ubisofts better Open World Games.

+Big Open World with many Side Activities and many ways to get around
+Interesting Characters, especially the villains
+Decent Story to justify lots of shooting and climbing towers
+Ellaborate Skill Tree with cool abilities to unlock
+Solid Gunplay and a good variety of different weapons
+Replay value (Two possible endings)

+-The only potions you probably will be crafting are health potions
+-Gameplay outside of main story gets a little bit samey after a while
+-You will probably ignore hunting mission

-The CoOp Mode is sh*t
-Uplay is sh*t (as usual)
-One of the two endings is neat, but also sh*t

All in all a pretty entertaining single player experience that effectivly kills some of your time and lets you play as Rambo, Predator or both. 8.5/10

Thought about getting another in the series. ThenI realized this game has a pretty sh**ty legacy.
There is only so far you can go with a franchise that has a premise this dumb.
