So there are some notes on this game, and I will put it as recommended for now but will list the things that are wrong with the game since that is what we crave.

- Performance is bad, and clearly they knew about it
- Variety of enemies is poor. Almost all enemies were pulled from the first game. Very, very lazy.
- Microtransactions in a singleplayer game. They don't even make sense, but I also feel like they made a few decisions in the game to try to help you want to buy them that didn't work.
- Fast travel is unavailable. Travel on foot is not like red dead redemption 2 where you get all kinds of cool stuff - you will be grinded down by the same goblins and opponents every single time and eventually its just repetitive and annoying. If you don't want fast travel, give the game mounts. Which RDR2 has also. Another lazy decision.
- Denuvo in anygame, but this is single player so its even worse.
- The plague is not implemented well.
- Removal of notice boards, sometimes the game feels aimless

That is the summary of bad things, but if you like the first game you will enjoy this one. Combat is fun, pawn system is alright, and the map is designed well imo. Character creation is fantastic. Story is a little better this time around. If that stuff above doesn't scare you off, you should get the game.

EDIT: Updating my review to negative. Enough time has passed for at least a single performance patch (which they did promise) and they have said nothing. It feels like they really just wanted the money. I can't recommend to new players or players that enjoyed the first game until they at least start making good on their promises.
