Great game 10/10

Issa game to kill demons... and its good at it

Completely abandoned on PC at this point... game came out in December

good game

however there are negatives

- lack of graphic options
- screen tearing
- netcode is still bad
- they really should have an icon displaying if someone is using M&K or Controller (like modern warfare)
- the UI for pc is pretty terrible. Whenever I host custom games I have to experience one of the worst UIs when it comes to selecting maps etc. (maps are not in alphabetical order or any order. etc)

I have finished the game with 14hrs on steam (less actual game time because steam counts menus)

Difficulty played: Jedi Master

My Specs:

RTX 2080ti
i7 9700k @ 5ghz
32gb ram

Graphics: Very good in a lot of areas but there are a LOT of times where something like your face just looks like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clay with no lighting.

Optimization: Should run decently on most machines. I get around 110-144 fps on the Epic Preset.

Story: Pretty good story for the most part. I enjoyed a lot of the characters you meet except for the main villain. You fight her like 3 times and its usually pretty easy but then you just get cut off and she runs away.

The story is way too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ short. If you wanted to speed run, you could probably do it in 10-12 hours no problem. You feel like it was just starting to ramp up towards the end but then you're hit with credits. No doubt this ending was a setup for a sequel imo. I think we should praise what was made and discourage what wasn't made. There needs to be like 3 more chapters in this game.

Combat: Very similar to darksouls. Its all about timing. If you played Force Unleashed, its nothing like that game. I am not really a darksouls fan, but I did enjoy it in star wars.

Music: Typical star wars. Nothin else (not a bad thing!)

Voice Acting: Very good, except Cal's voice always sounded boring (just a pet peeve. Its not game breaking imo)

Bosses and enemy variety: Pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring imo, you are mostly fighting the same 3 types of enemies.

Melee group, shooting group, and advanced melee group. No matter what race or faction, they fight the same.

World variety and level design: Pretty good, everything looked beautiful and each world had its own style to it. It kinda got boring seeing the same walls to run on, the same pipes to run on, and the same walls to climb just reskinned but its not TOO bad.

Would I recommed:

For star wars fans? YES

For dark soul like game fans? Wait for small sale (like 40$)

For anyone else? Wait till its half off.

This game is just too short to be 60$ and as of right now there is no new game plus and I feel this game doesn't have THAT much replay value. You could play it on higher difficulties but thats really it. What sucks is that everything (besides the abrupt ending) is VERY good but theres only 12 hours of it!

This isn't an expansion bungo. This should be like 15$

Complaints:

Quality of Servers = poo

Toxicity is rampant in the game unless you're playing with friends. People will throw matches if they feel you stole the ball from them or if it is "your" fault.

Boosting is an issue (not a HUGE one) there are players that are in ranks they should not be in.

Fix Tournament Mode

Just show MMR by default and add it as a game option. Everyone uses mods anyway to see it.

Initial Impressions:

Feels like a far cry game while also not at the time same time. I guess it's the tower system that is pretty much gone in this game and a few little tweaks here and there but this feels much better. No more just getting quests to check off. You'll have some funny moments as well such as friendlies shooting a mortar in your face, chasing a skunk across the map, or having a helicopter crash on the civilians you just saved and killing them all.

Pros:

-Good story so far
- Gun Mechanics feel great but I would kinda wish the bullet drop wasn't so crazy for some guns.
- Driving feels great IMO, better than a lot of games
- Voice acting seems pretty good for most of the characters (they fit)
-NO MORE TOWERS, you actually find missions and things to do by actually exploring the game
(but I would like to be able to in air vehicles not just ground vehicles) unlike the other open world games where they give you a checklist.
- Good perk system same as far cry 4
- Map is beautiful as always, it looks small on the map but when exploring feels much bigger.
- The sound effects are very good

Cons:

- Need a little bit more of car variation IMO
- Needs more NPC variation and voice lines. (I swear like they only have like 5 npc defaults, and voice lines are repeated
- EVERYWHERE Idk why games do both of these so often in open world games
- Flying is WAY to arcade like for me. (full speed 180 in a plane in 1 sec is too much)
- The armored and the MVP enemies take wayyyy to many bullets. Ive unloaded 2 mags into an armored guy sometimes and they aren't even wearing strong armor..
- Still terrible AI, games really need hire people to do AI and stop just putting 3 dudes to do it for ALL games.
- The immersion gets killed kinda when LITERALLY every road has the cult on it 10x over and you are ALWAYS getting spotted and shot at from all OVER the map. For every 1 Civilian there are 20 Peggies. It needs to simmer down and I wish they had a hide mechanic in a vehicle (if they do let me know) so you aren't getting spotted 24/7 while trying to do 10 other things.
- Your allies that join you on missions are pretty dumb for the most part. I would just get the animals because the people will just follow you everywhere when you are trying to stealth and most of the time are useless anyway in my experience.
- Co-op still doesn't save progression... It should just go off the person that doesn't have that objective completed at the very least. ITS SUCH a fun game to ♥♥♥♥ around with friends but it sucks when its only 2 players...
- General bugs like cars or air vehicles going crazy when getting in them etc..


TL;DR : I'd recommend this game if you can live with the cons (most of them can be patched over time) or if you are a long far cry fan. You'll love this game if you loved all of the others.
