Don't buy the package with Sands of Salzaar; the game is simply awful. To have barriers in cities, you need DLC. To have the basics that every war game has, you need DLC, and it gets even worse... the base game isn't stable, it's all buggy. However, the devs release more DLCs and update some of them, but not the base game.

I've already made a translation mod and added several bug fixes, like events that don't start in English, and the devs never fixed them in the DLC or base game.

I'm only referring to Sands of Salzaar.
