The only thing that makes sense to me is that both of your reviews were near the top of the respective pages. For Exodus, the only reason I would have commented on your profile is if you forgot to enable comments on the review.
I don't know how that could happen unless you are on my Friend's List and thus Steam listed more than one of your reviews on the Activity page.
Why would you allow a company to get away with something like this? If a lot more gamers said 'no', they would have been forced to ditch the online garbage, because they like money.
A business can only do what its customers allow it to do, by giving it money. When a business tries to get away with something that's unnecessary and has no benefit for you, just wait until the game is in the bargain bin.
