If you thought you were here for a game review you were wrong becuase this is a great pie recipe that will tickle your taste buds.

Ingredients
Serves: 8

1 recipe pastry for a 23cm pie
125g unsalted butter
3 tablespoons plain flour
4 tablespoons water
100g caster sugar
100g dark brown soft sugar
8 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced


Method
Prep:30min › Cook:1hr › Ready in:1hr30min

1. Preheat oven to 220 C / Gas mark 7. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, caster sugar and brown sugar, and bring to the boil. Reduce temperature and let simmer.

2. Roll out the pastry to line the bottom of a 23cm (9 in) pie dish. Fill with apples, mounded slightly. Cover with strips of pastry to form a lattice design. Gently pour the sugar and butter liquid over the pastry. Pour slowly so that it does not run off.

3. Bake the apple pie 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce the temperature to 180 C / Gas mark 4. Continue baking the pie for 35 to 45 minutes, until apples are soft. Serve apple pie with ice cream or custard.

Apple pie tips

To check the doneness of the pie filling, insert a knife into the centre of the pie. If it meets with little or no resistance, the pie is done.

If the pie is not quite done but the top or edges are becoming too dark, loosely cover the top of the pie with aluminium foil to shield it from the heat.

If you want to add shine and sparkle to your apple pie, thin 4 tablespoons of golden syrup with very hot water. When the pie is done, brush the thinned syrup over the top of the pastry. You can add granulated sugar or demerara sugar at this time. Return the pie to the oven for 2 to 3 minutes to let the glaze dry and set.

Once the pie is done baking, let the pie cool to room temperature before slicing to allow the pie filling to set.

Loads of fun but does have optimisation porblems but if you have a good PC and have configued the settings right. Then it is great fun and definitly does carry arma's reputation

My original review was positive however this is all but changed.

CSGO (CS2) is now a dying game that has lost the player base it once had. This is evident in my friends list which many were added over the course of playing to have a full lobby and the best chance of winning. This has probably shrunken down to 4 people who don't know each other. Now you may think, try the looking for players page, this does not show anyone of my rank or from my country. Granted I did like this feature when it was first released however now it lacks the results.
The new rank system. This is boring and does not give you the sense of achievement that the previous had and instead if I win i just see +200. Wow, boring. Yes I used to graft with my mates to rank up and after every win where you thought you would rank up and you didn't was annoying. But it only gave you that urge to play one more and chase that rank up or lose and start the process again.

This game was amazing 8/9 years ago and was like heroin for my mates and I who would argue, laugh and cheer as we won or lost every game. Now it is but a memory of good times and probably not many hours will be put into playing it from now on.

Great fun to play with friends. Unfortuantly the community has died after arma 3 and standalone but when you find a live server and you are with a group, it is great fun.

it is very good after you have been taught how to play it by a friend but not as good as age of empires

It is one of the best free games thats out there and never gets boring
