Well, I was about to give this game a bad review. I was at the second to last chapter and convinced that this game was nothing special, the story hype was wrong, and it was just another boring shooter that tried to be edgy.

I've never been so wrong about a game in my life.

That's the problem with this game, though. You have to play it through all the way to the VERY end, and then, you'll want to play it again. And that's something I never thought I'd say before I reached the final chapter.

Graphics: Technically, they're nothing special. The game runs pretty well and looks decent for being released in 2012. The design of the graphics is pretty good, though. The landscapes and the whole Dubai scene is gorgeous and has some wonderful views from tall buildings.

Gameplay: This is definitely the worst part of the game. The unfortunate part is that the gameplay is so generic, boring, frustrating, and clunky that I nearly stopped playing it. It's a typical third-person shooter where you're killing lots of people and using cover. The cover system is terrible, especially since the cover button and sprint button are the same. I'll be trying to take cover and instead sprint out in front of the cover, get shot, and die. Movement in general just feels clunky. Like I said, I nearly stopped playing because I got so frustrated. But trust me, you HAVE to push through.

Story: Believe the hype, and don't read spoilers. This game is on another level when it comes to twist endings. Leading up to the big reveal, I was just HOPING that there was gonna be some sort of crazy twist, but I had no idea that it would be what it was. It really hit me hard and turned my opinion of the game all the way around. I really don't want to give anything away because it's the only saving grace for this game, but I will say that the tediousness and the horrific killing is the whole point. You're supposed to feel like you're excessively killing people, you're not supposed to enjoy what you're doing. This game is MADE to piss people off, that's the whole purpose, and the whole reason that the ending works so well.

Overall, the game itself is generic, but the story, the message, and the twist make it worth it. Plus, it's only 6 hours long, which is just short enough to get people through the tedious gameplay. Trust me, it's worth it. 8/10

I enjoyed this game a lot more than I thought I was going to. I'm glad I picked it up again after it had sat in my library for years. It was some of the most fun I've had in a game in a long time.

Graphics: Spectacular design. The whole thing feels like a comic book, and there are loads of beautiful shots and cityscapes. The gothic/dark feel is wonderfully done as well.

Gameplay: Unlike any other game I've ever seen. It's about as innovative as Bioshock (same developers). It requires you to dual wield guns as well as controlling the Darkness tentacles, which allows for many combinations of tactics and methods. It's incredibly fun and very well designed, it's some of the most fun gameplay I've experienced. The difficulty was just about right as well. I found myself dying quite a bit but it was never too hard or too easy.

Story: Generally, the story is very engaging and interesting. The writing and voice acting is very well done and creates characters that I genuinely cared about. The love story is moving and saddening, and the way the main character slips in and out of reality creates some really interesting confusion as to what is real and what is being made up by the Darkness. My only complaint is the length: I finished the game in about 5 hours. The ending also felt slightly forced and unnecessary.

Overall, I was very pleased with this game and had a blast with the crazy gore and over-the-top takedown moves. It was truly a wild ride. 9/10

I love this game. It's incredibly addicting. It's like one of those free iPhone games except much more difficult, indepth, and intuitive.

Gameplay: Addicting as hell. It's a simple concept, dodging oncoming targets and grabbing powerups and point multipliers, but it gives you tasks such as jumping x amount of times, or only going left in a certain level. These tasks keep the game interesting for a very long time, despite having such a simple concept.

Level Design: Apparently. the levels change every day. That is an excellent way to keep the game fresh and keep people playing it. Just as I get bored of the levels for today, they come out with another set that will offer whole new challenges.

Graphics: Very simple, but they look great for what they are. It almost gives a sort of post-apocalyptic vibe, which is pretty neat.

Very happy with this game. I got it for free, but I'm sure whatever the price it's listed at is fair because you will get many hours out of this game. 10/10

Better than the first game, I'll give it that! Definitely not on the same level as Blood Money in my opinion, but it was still a relatively good game.

Graphics: Can't say too much about this, given it was released in 2002. I will say that many of the environments looked very plain and were not too pleasing to look at. Most of the levels used the same color palette for the whole level (all white for snow, all yellow for desert, all gray for city) and it just got boring after a while.

Story: Again, can't expect too much from a Hitman game in terms of story. 47 was just as deadpan as always, but it seemed like they actually attempted to create some other characters and give them lines. Unfortunately, the lines were pretty horribly delivered and were downright comical at times, which was an awful contrast to 47's brooding attitude. The story itself seemed pretty straightforward: Rejoin the agency to save a friend, kill this guy, kill that guy, oh now there's this other guy, travel the world killing everybody, finally get your friend back at the end after slaughtering everyone. Like I said, nothing too special.

Level Design: Coming from playing Blood Money, I was expecting some great level design out of these developers. While I praised Blood Money for having large levels, I think this game suffers from levels that are either too large or too small. There might've been 2 or 3 of the 21 levels that were decently sized and required a good amount of planning, but the rest were either so ridiculously big that I got lost constantly, or so small that I finished the level in a good 5 minutes on the first try. There was simply too much variation in the level design, which made it hard to enjoy the game.

Gameplay: Also, I found there was a lot of guesswork to be had in this game. Blood Money did a good job of showing you certain ways to complete the level, or slightly guiding you in the right direction. This game, I found, would throw you in an environment where there was often one easy way to get things done, but that easy way was extremely cryptic and frustrating. And every other way to complete the level is near impossible. Again, just a lot of inconsistencies. Aside from that, it's general Hitman gameplay, which is clunky, but good.

Overall, it's a Hitman game, which I've come to discover is generally a good thing: it usually entails large and complex levels, good sneaking, interesting environments, and entertaining gunplay. This game just barely fell short on just about everything. I still recommend it for anyone who enjoys sneaking games, but I would definitely say that Blood Money beats this game in just about every aspect. Not too bad, 7/10

This was a fantastic indie puzzle game. It's got the gameplay of Limbo, the atmosphere of Dead Space, and the puzzle style of Portal. Really well done.

Graphics: The whole setting is really dark and creepy. They really pulled off the abandoned spaceship look quite well.

Gameplay: The platforming style is similar to Limbo, but the main game mechanic is as innovative and interesting as something like Portal. Basically, you can create "clones" of yourself with a cloning gun and can switch to control each of the clones. It's really interesting and there were some great puzzles, incorporating things like reversing gravity, boxes and pressure pads, and different areas where you can/can't create clones.

Story: I was very pleased with the story. It brought up a lot of issues involving the killing of the clones and whether or not your "soul" is lost in the clones, etc. The voice acting and writing was pretty good as well. The story was only about 3 hours long, but I felt like they did all they could with the puzzles and ended it at a good time.

Overall, a fantastic indie game with a very well executed game mechanic. If you enjoyed Limbo and Portal, you would surely enjoy this game. 9/10

Well, that game was strange.

Graphics: Probably the best thing about this game. It's very pretty to look at, the colors are quite vibrant and interesting. The problem is that everything is so colorful that it's hard to tell what's part of the background and what you can walk/click on, which unfortunately is the main game mechanic.

Story: Uhh...basically you're a bug trying to bring all the other bugs back to life or save their buddies. Yeah it's a little weird.

Gameplay: REALLY BORING AND SLOW...I guess you could use this game to relax before you go to sleep? It certainly made me tired. You play as a bug that moves ridiculously slowly across branches that are terribly hard to distinguish from the rest of the background. This is basically a point and click game in which you click on various objects that you see labeled on the left side of your screen until you've gotten all of them. Each level has one or two puzzles that are usually knockoffs of pretty popular puzzles (matching games, checkers, and finally a rubix cube type puzzle which I couldn't complete in 30 minutes so I gave up). That final puzzle is absolutely ridiculous, so unfortunately I couldn't beat the game because I got sick of pressing buttons to no avail.

Other than that, the music is kinda nice. It's very ambient, and gets annoying after you've heard it for a while, which is usually what happens given how slow the bug moves. I got this game for 20 cents and I'd say it's worth about that. I could see this being a free online flash game. There are only 5 levels, I (almost) beat it in a little over an hour. Get it if you like lots of bugs and looking at pretty pictures and moving really slowly. 3/10

This was a really, REALLY, well made mod. At times I had trouble reminding myself it was a mod and not an official expansion or DLC.

Graphics: Obviously it looks the same as Portal 2 did in terms of graphics, but the design of the environments is spectacular, almost contesting the original game at times! The environments are lush and detailed and beautiful to look at. The opening sequence has some amazing shots of the Aperture Lab that are still stuck in my mind.

Ambiance: The music is really quite catchy and fits the Portal theme very well! It's similar to the original soundtrack, yet quirky enough to set it apart from the original. Great job there as well.

Gameplay: The puzzles are tough. I certainly had some trouble with them, and had to resort to a few walkthroughs. The design of the puzzles is phenomenal. It's basically like Portal 2, but amped up just a little bit for the more experienced players.

Story: This is the one area where I have a complaint. The story itself is well crafted and does a good job of bridging the gap between Portal 1 and 2. Unfortunately, I was not very happy with the voice acting/writing. At times I found myself cringing at the dialogue, either because of the line itself or the way it was delivered. They were clearly trying to do the Portal style humor which Wheatley delivered perfectly in Portal 2, but it just wasn't working quite right.

Other than the voice acting and writing, this is a fantastically made mod that definitely deserves to be played. There's a good amount of gameplay, hard puzzles, and good music to keep you busy for a few hours. 9/10

I didn't enjoy this game as much as I hoped I would. The whole water gimmick was cool at first, but eventually just became annoying.

Graphics: The water graphics, for the most part, look decent. The graphics design is pretty cool, although I'm a sucker for the whole cyberpunk futuristic look. Other than that it's nothing too special.

Story: The voice acting is pretty bad, which makes it hard to care about the characters. The story itself is relatively straightforward and cliched, and is a whopping 3 hours long, so that is definitely not a selling point of this game. The writing is uninspired, although there was one line that made me laugh: "I've got two balls and neither one is crystal."

Gameplay: The gimmick of this game is the use of large amounts of water to your advantage, whether it be to access high areas, put out fires, or sweep enemies off of their feet. That feature itself was pretty well done, but it was not utilized very often, and when it was, it was laid out step by step. There was absolutely no intuition required, which made the mechanic pretty boring. Other than that, the cover system is frustratingly bad, the gunplay is unsatisfying, and the controls are stiff.

Overall, don't spend your time or money with this game, unless you're a...uh...water fanatic? It's really nothing special and I found myself frustrated more often than entertained. 3/10

I had a lot of fun with this game. A lot more than I expected to, given that I am not a fan of the original Hitman. This one felt much more polished and easier to understand.

Graphics: For its time, it looks great. The environments look pretty and the character models are quite good. Some of the landscapes, like the Vegas city scape, had me saying "wow", even though the game is nearly 10 years old.

Story: The Hitman games are not known for having incredibly gripping storylines, at least in my experience. The story was better than I expected it to be, but is probably still the weakest part of the game. Fortunately, you can look past it because just about everything else is great.

Level Design: Yes, yes, and yes. This game is everything I've ever wanted out of a sneaking game in terms of level design. The levels are very big, usually containing at least 4 large floors with numerous maps and PLENTY of ways to complete the missions. Some are obvious, and some require a bit of intuition. The game forces you to explore the whole level and figure out how to complete it on your own. It doesn't baby you and tell you what to do. I will admit, I had to resort to walkthroughs at times, but when I managed to complete the level my own way, it was incredibly satisfying.

Gameplay: My issue with every Hitman game has always been clunky controls. This one is no exception. At least the games are consistent in that sense. Absolution has the smoothest controls so far, but it's still not quite on the same level as something like Assassin's Creed. But, obviously, that is an entirely different style of game.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this game and would reccommend it to anyone who enjoys badass, intuitive, sneaking based games! 8/10
