If you're looking for the best place to throw thousands of hours of your life into the fire, this is the game for you.

Oh yes, along the way you will have to shoot at necromen (necromorph) with glowing eyes. Some are so magical that they continue to walk on their feet without meat - science fiction!
But if you don’t nitpick in detail about biology, this is a good shooter (or a good horror game for those who haven’t played Dead Space)!
Dead Space 2008 could only be completed with a plasma cutter or pulse rifle, whereas now you have to use the entire arsenal of weapons to survive. There are a lot of weapons here, and a couple of new guns have been added! And the weapon is really “mining” and is used more for mining ore, but it’s also great for dismembering necromorphs!
And yes, USG "Ishimura" is completely open, but it's even a little weird and ruins the atmosphere and immersion, in my opinion. After all, in reality, Ishimura is a multi-kilometer mining starship, so why can Isaac run from one end of Ishimura to the other in 5 minutes??? Ahahahah... SCIENCE FICTION!
And so, in general, this is the same Dead Space, with improved graphics, combat and a plot more successfully integrated into the lore (one note, in the cartoon Dead Space: Downfall, the marker was really 20 meters high, when here the maximum is 4-5 meters, and the [containment field/dead space/safe zone around the marker] works differently, oh well, the writers, as always, smoked something, ahahaha... This point was corrected in Dead Space 2 2011 and it is still strange that it was not corrected in this remake).
Oh, and there wasn’t enough money for the final cut-scene, because the piece of rock that falls on Aegis 7 was drawn in 2D, seriously??? EA, are you still that greedy???
Okay, these are my little quibbles, the game is good!

Innovative and interesting, rather leisurely meditative gameplay. Great, just the thing to play a game on a cold winter evening with a cup of tea. But as great as this is, it is also important to be able to think and count your resources, or you will lose. After all, we have here a “harsh reality” about the survival of 4 spaceships and their crews in a randomly generated solar system.

Scary game? - Probably not!
But don't think this game won't f#@k you... it will, it will!
You'll be climbing through pipes and vents for a fairly impressive part of the gameplay, but wait, you're in prison. You never come across a communal dining room, what the hell? Where do all the prisoners hang out? Why, frack, is there a sawmill in prison, on this icy planet? How so? Okay, if you don’t think about such things, it’s true that it’s cool to play.
The visuals are really good, very good, and the animations, especially the facial ones, mmm... it smells delicious!
It’s also nice that the weapon Jacob carries on his back is really visible! For example, Isaac from Grandfather Space [Dead Space] hides his cutters and flamethrowers where? In Mayakovsky's wide trousers??? Or into a black hole??? [wherever she is :)].
As for the weapon itself, I play most of the game with a baton, how is that possible? Why do I need a pistol and a assault rifle, if the baton is the most dangerous of all??? [the only thing more dangerous than a baton is a plastic cup, just kidding, don’t listen to me :D].
The main bad guy is also cool, until you get to the “final boss”, then there’s only laughter.
It's true, Uncle Glen, I was waiting for a really scary game, but I see a really scary fire, why does it lag and is made of pixels, it's fire, it's really fire, is it really so bad on Unreal Engine 4? [RTX 3060 Ti is too weak for pixel fire???].
Okay, okay, maybe I'm nitpicking, because it was fun to play, really. For $20 with a discount you get a not so bad game, cool visuals, more or less some kind of plot, there is something to "cut off their limbs", maybe the game will even scare someone (it scared me a couple of times), so yes, it’s possible, I want to see a continuation of this franchise, but of course it needs to be improved. A short subjective list with ratings:

- Gameplay: 4/5

- Fire: 0/5

Do a squat bind and squat, squat a lot, squat often. This will save you from a headshot and you will live longer, hehe...
And also, yes, play like a rat, hide, don't shoot yourself, live as long as possible...
Oh yeah, and don't forget the most important thing, don't press the F button, while you're driving in a car at speed, or you'll die and 30 minutes of gameplay will be in the trash :)
Here's something else, teammates love to jump into a meat grinder and die, don't listen to them, while you're below platinum 2, or better yet diamond 5. Play separately from them, either one or a save-style.
Once you get to the diamond league, don't despair if a one-shot hits your head from the other end of the map, because you just played 700 hours, not 8000 (squat, squat, squat... then you'll live longer) :D

If you like to go into a cockpit and fly around the map using a gravity gun, then this game is for you.
