Sudden and sharp decline in player base mentality since P2P trading was ceased. Seems only the bottom of the barrel remain.

The cycle of: Stop playing because endemic cheating and lacklustre performance - Valve releasing content to make the game tolerable, dare I say enjoyable, for a week - Spend the next few weeks lamenting time spent playing a game I love - Stop playing...etc.

I know CS has always been Cheater Strike to some extent but this is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful.

It's just nothing but try hard sweat lords now. You can't even shoot a pig with a bow without someone grubbing you or upgrade your base without being roof camped. Like what's the point anymore? The grind used to be fun, now it's just a grind.
