Played the standalone for years. This appears to be less buggy, however all the mechanics are still horrendously rigged.

Always seem to be mana flooded/choked, shuffle/draw is broken and it feels that depending on what deck you play determines your opponent, so you always play against the same 4 decks. Speaking of, seems most players just copy pastes the en vogue meta deck, and kind of a big part of MTG is being able to build a playable deck yourself. I get accessibility for newer players, but the game doesn't reward ability. I've played MTG 20ish years, but it doesn't mean anything because of the 'RNG' of this game is rigged. If the game wants you to lose, you can fight all you want, but you're losing this one either way, so best to just forfeit.

It's good for a few quick games of MTG, but as stated, it's rigged. Also, you don't have to spend real money for anything, just play the game and you'll earn in-game currencies.

Sudden and sharp decline in player base mentality since P2P trading was ceased. Seems only the bottom of the barrel remain.

The cycle of: Stop playing because endemic cheating and lacklustre performance - Valve releasing content to make the game tolerable, dare I say enjoyable, for a week - Spend the next few weeks lamenting time spent playing a game I love - Stop playing...etc.

I know CS has always been Cheater Strike to some extent but this is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful.

It's just nothing but try hard sweat lords now. You can't even shoot a pig with a bow without someone grubbing you or upgrade your base without being roof camped. Like what's the point anymore? The grind used to be fun, now it's just a grind.
