After close to 50 hours of playing Quake Champions, i think the following
1. The game by itself is great, I know its receiving a lot of hate for not being like the other Quake and for having unbalanced champions and what not, but i personally feel like imbalance exists in each game atleast initially, but it just needs some time for the devs to finish balancing the games out. It doesnt have to be like every other Quake game out there, its quite unfortunate that people think that a sequel to the game needs to be the same as the initial game for gameplay. I think its nice that they've taken into account the industry trends for FPS genre and given us cosmetics, champions, etc.
2. The community (whats left of it atleast) is so damn amazing. You'd normally imagine the community of a high skill shooter to be toxic to new players, but this really isnt the case. the community is very nice and very helpful to newcomers. The only problem is, the lack of a player base leading to very high matchmaking times. Its sad to see such a great game go this way, I really hope that it comes back in a big way
