If the fact I only use Steam to play Max Payne wasn't evidence that I have well and truly moved onto better things, I'll plainly state that I have well and truly moved onto better things. It was a good decade but the arc was well and truly finished in 2020 and I have barely purchased a modern game since then.

The last one was Doom Eternal and it so thoroughly frustrated me as a complete jettison of the artistic integrity of its forebear I gave up on really caring outside of remasters and remakes of classic games I actually do like. When I do game now, I choose my battles a bit better and I definitely don't choose them outside of Gog or an emulator. Hell, even consoles make more sense to me now!

I'd strongly recommend you do the same reader. Live a little, go outside, go to a bar, play Drakengard for PS2, watch some Kiyoshi Kurosawa joints and listen to SPK and Foetus. There is a better life on the horizon and it isn't in that Dota 2 lobby.
