Although it has it's failings, this game is a great RPG. The combat is weighty, and the physical classes are extremely satisfying to land hits with. You can really feel the huge impact that the skills hit with, and enemies respond accordingly. Landing a hit with a maxed out Arc of Deliverance for the first time is one of greatest moments of my gaming career.

The magic classes are no slouch either, with dozens of powerful spells that make it really feel like you've mastered the powers of the arcane. Whether you're calling down meteors or summoning tornadoes, you'll look cool as hell doing it.

Unfortunately, the game has some rough spots. NPC dialogue eventually get very repetitive, and in some extreme cases it is the same line over and over again. The story, while not terrible, is a little wierd at some points, and there are a lot of obscure mechanics involving quests and upgrade materials. Additionally, once you hit mid to end game, the gameplay becomes pretty repetitive, with the same couple enemies showing up over and over. Bitterblack Isles makes it a little better with endgame variety, but it too falls into repetition over time.

All in all, a pretty good game. I'M STILL WAITING FOR THAT SEQUEL CAPCOM.
