What else can I say about this game that hasn't been said already? There's only two things that comes to mind which I want to emphasize. One: I appreciate that Celeste is both kind and challenging. Yes, you might spend hours on a given screen. But the game is about retrying. Is about being kind to yourself and trying as much as you need to as the goal is to make progress. Progress is progress no matter how small. I love that there's even a loading screen that says something like "You should be proud of your death counts! They show how much you've learned". I wish more games had that mentality.

The other thing I really appreciate is the themes and therefore the community that this game has created. This game is not only about anxiety and depression, which many of us have experienced, but also about the LGBTQ+ community and so many challenges that we face as part of that community. And both of these aspects end up bringing such a lovely community around Celeste. It's really hard to explain, but recently I've been hanging out in streamer's chats who also love this game and everyone is very friendly and supportive and it makes me so happy.
