EDIT: I've been told that the current patch that has merged the games code between pc and console busted the game with the bugs, not the DLC. I'd still avoid this DLC until these issues have been fixed.

To put it bluntly, no, do not currently buy this DLC. It has introduced a long list of bugs and issues that just mess with the enjoyment of the game in its current state.
Personally, a lot of these were easy to notice on the first run, and really negatively impacted it for me. The audio duping, the health bar being slower and less sleek, the missing rarity highlights on items, the cancelling of sprinting if you ever press tab to look at the overview, the what seems to be odd delay on some character abilities, and the worst offender, the fact that it is near impossible to notice taking damage. They did add a directional indicator, but it doesn't feel the same as the old screen indicator.
Besides the bugs and gameplay issues, or worse issues I have not even mentioned here, some things just do not work. The new elites are a nightmare if you have any AOE for Spites or DOT with Gilded, a lot of the new items feel genuinely weak or worse, the whole section of levels access through the green portal are not only locked to that path, but unrepeatable if you fight the boss at the end and decide to continue, which just feels odd. Cut out the boss, not the whole path.
That being said, there are some welcome additions. The three new survivors seem fun and decently balanced (Seeker might need a bit of a tweak but that just my opinion), the new music and level designs feel and sound great and the new skins that I have seen so far look pretty good!
But overall... Its under cooked, and needs more time in the oven. Give it a miss for now until Gearbox (hopefully) pushes out some fixes for these issues.
