If I could refund this stupid game and all the dlc I would in a heartbeat. Worst mmr, balancing and bugs ever :/
Still, I'll keep playing it until I eventually kill myself

+ Smooth combat
+ Beautiful graphics
+ Destructible demons system is amazing
+ Great soundtrack
+ Smart change to equipment mechanic
+ Improved health/armour/ammo recovery system
Max ammo feels a bit low, especially for the automatic shotgun mod. But a fun resource management system nonetheless.
+ Meat hook
Suuuuper satisfying and fun, and a great mechanic for armour recovery.

- Multiplayer (especially compared to D2016)
Only 1 game mode for 3 players - while cool idea, due to all the technical and balancing issues not actually that fun. Latency is AWFUL. Never had it this bad in D2016 on 12 player servers. Haven't Id made a bunch of multiplayer fps shooters before? /s
- Glitches (not very polished for a £50 game)
- Rather disappointing skins so far (especially for weapons)
D2016's had near unlimited potential for cosmetic customisation. All free and unlocked through gameplay.
Eternal still has a very small amount of non-customise-able skins; some cost £ through Amazon Prime etc.; some skins are just utterly fuggly, like the surfer dude.
- No more Mick Gordon in the future
Modern Doom won't be the same without his sounds, but I understand he's to blame for this too.
- Broke the camel's back: Denuvo Anti-Cheat. Kernel level software bringing safety concerns and guaranteed performance drops. And for some reason required even for singleplayer. Personally I played less than 20 online matches, like most people. This is ridiculous.

The core of the game is great. Most of the negatives come from Id/Bethesda's choice of direction, and could easily be remedied (but probably won't). I feel the whole package wasn't worth the £50 on launch, and more content will probably be paid (dlcs and Prime).
With the current Denuvo situation I will neither play nor recommend the game.
I'm still hoping for the best though.

After investing more time into the game i realised how downhill it went, after having many good suggestions for improvements the devs completely ignored them and started messing it up.

I regret becoming addicted to this game.

The singleplayer is amazing save for a few bugs, like the game always crashing at the end of one mission. The combat is inherently satisfying, but I'm not completely happy with the upgrade system. Forcing me to use a wepon I don't enjoy using to perform a complicated kill, and then repeat it like 10-30 times is frustrating and time consuming. Same with runes. Collect 500 ammo packs? Seriously? You spend so much time doing these frustrating chores, you sometimes forget how fun the combat can be.

The multiplayer however smooth and satisfying is ruined by complete lack of balance in matchmaking. When you've got 4 max lvl players it would make sense to split them 2-2, no? The game puts 3 better players on the team with more people, giving one team a massive skill and numbers advantage. This happens ocassionaly in most multiplayer games, but is too common a occurence in DOOM, sadly.

tldr: pretty fun singleplayer.
