Honestly the best Mafia game in all, 10/10 IGN

It has one of the best story's in Gaming History its not that good graphicly but trust me it has a good plot

This is a very stelthy game its fun I like it

Even the most hard-core Linux users have heard of Half-Life 2, or at least the ones that are, at most, pushing 40. The story of Gordon Freeman’s origins is well known and it goes back to the first Half-Life.

In any case, players will once again take the role of Gordon Freeman as he's arriving in City 17, which is currently occupied by an extraterrestrial race called The Combine.

The game does provide some hints that it's a city in the Eastern Europe or from the Soviet bloc, but this is where the similarities with our world end.

The Combine is using the human populations as a docile work force, but as always, a Resistance is keeping the aliens occupied.

Gordon manages to make contact to the Resistance, only to get lost very soon after that. The rest of the game is a never-ending race against the clock and against the enemy, who is doing everything in their power to stop you.

Gordon has proven to be an agent of chaos and the Combine is all about order. Before reaching the mind boggling conclusion, the player will also learn to love Alyx Vance, an AI companion that has been almost unrivaled the last eight years of game development.

Even if the main character never says a word, not even when he gets shot, the voice acting is exquisite and it's still something to strive for today.

The gameplay itself doesn't separate itself from the rest of the FPS pack, with one exception. Valve was the first studio to introduce a weapon that could physically manipulate other objects, and a lot of other games have since copied this feature, in one way or another.

The graphics aren't too shabby either. Keep in mind that the game has been launched originally back in 2004. It's hard to imagine that a game could keep up, after so many years, but Linux users don't have the same standards in this department.

Half-Life 2 is also accompanied by a substantial multiplayer mode that is extremely robust and fun to play. Throwing toilets with the Gravity Gun is just as amusing as it sounds.

You play as Gordon Freeman, a scientist at the Black Mesa Research Facility, conducting dangerous and top secret genetic experiments. Without giving away too much of the story let me just say that, after a freak accident (or was it an accident…), you find yourself battling amongst unearthly creatures in an effort to free yourself, save yourself from government troops, and to eventually save the world. The story is revealed through dialogues with other scientists, overheard conversations, and other various clues discovered throughout the game.

Unlike other first person shooters (FPS), the story is not abandoned in the
middle of the game for bigger weapons and constant mayhem (a la Unreal).
Ambient music does an awesome job at setting the tone, and a barrage of sound

The community in this game is terrible! Today I played a competitive game on inferno, and I ran into some very rude people! I simply wanted to hunt down all the chickens in the map. I was wandering around when suddenly I was shot at by a very rude person. Someone on my team then proceded to yell at me for not shooting him.

Volvo, however, puts excellent updates into the game. For instance - "Increased max chicken population from 10 to 12", in a recent update of which many people are calling "the best update ever". This is a good step in the right direction for Volvo, as increasing the max chicken population will ensure that players are never tired of completing the game.

Best parts of the game:
-Chickens
-Best chicken killing simulator ever
-Polar Bear dreamhack stickers (check out my P90 and p250)

-Moar chickens

Issues that must be adressed:
-Some maps don't have ANY chickens
-In a 10 man competitive match there aren't enough chickens for everyone
-Chickens should not have teleport hax
-Chickens need more HP
-Chickens
-There is currently no way to cook the chickens
-New players may find killing chickens difficult (steep learning curve)
-Chickens
-Chickens do not do enough damage
-Too many players in a map distract you from the real game
-Same thing goes for trees and crap

10/10 chicken simulator.
