I've played this game since its very first release in Early Access on Steam and I cannot a recommend a game more.

The story of the game, at the moment, is being released in a series of "episodes", which I haven't yet gotten into. Then you might be wondering "how come you have 250+ hours in the game?". It's the sandbox mode of it.

Every resourse has a randomly generated spawn each time you start a new save file. And considering that there are more than 6 massive maps to play in, you can easily have one of your longest playthroughs of your life on a save file.

It's an unforgiving game, don't let the reviews trick you. You have to learn how to play this game efficiently pretty early on, thanks to the multiple integrated "threat" systems: level of cold, windblow, humidity; you also have some pretty agressive animal life, which can be easily attracted to you if you are carrying a freshly-skinned rabbit for example - the smell can give you off. You learn from your mistakes, but never challenge a bear head-on. Those things ruin progress if you go unprepared. Unless you're a crack shot with your bow and arrow ;)

Overall, too long didn't read, if you happen to enjoy gathering resources, crafting, hunting, planning ahead, resource management (limiting), exploration, risk taking, amazing scenery, solid atmosphere, this one is certainly worth the try.
