This is the first game I've played that has filled the same golf simulator void as the classics Sid Meier's GolfSim and Golf Resort Tycoon 2. I really thought the futuristic theme would be a turn-off, but it ended up being fairly charming. (Plus, you don't have to use the pinball bumpers and giant ring of fire if you don't want to.)

There's good room to be creative designing your course. Editing terrain and surface textures being free is a huge plus, because you're not punished for spending 15 minutes making your hole look exactly perfect before opening it.

Overall, I'd strongly recommend this game if you're looking for a golf simulator, or even if it just looks kinda fun.
