Alright, miners. It's briefing time. Settle down, shut up.

In this game, you play as a dwarf working for the interplanetary mining company Deep Rock Galactic as it plunders the planet of Hoxxes IV for its resources, as directed by Mission Control. Of course, nothing in life can be easy; assuming you can withstand the blazing heat, freezing cold, toxic sludge, lethal radiation, and other hazards the planet's wide variety of biomes throw at you, there are dozens of different hostile species that hate all the noise and light you've brought into their home, and wish to repay you by feasting on your bearded flesh.

Fortunately, you have defenses; each of the four classes in the game (Engineer, Driller, Scout, and Gunner) have an arsenal at their disposal tailored to their niche in the caves of Hoxxes. Each class has 9 weapons unique to that class, in addition to their class-specific support items. And if that's not enough variety for you, each weapon has modifications called "overclocks" that can be equipped and de-quipped at will to better suit your playstyle, sometimes changing how a weapon works entirely.

Speaking of support items, let's talk about your most powerful weapon in the caves: your teammates. While you can go it alone with the aid of a drone by the name of APD-B317 (called "Bosco" by people who actually work for a living), the game is most enjoyable with up to 3 friends and/or total strangers. Whether you play different classes to cover each other's shortcomings, or all go one class and power through for the memes is up to you!

Of course, all work and no play would make a leaflover out of any dwarf, so be sure to visit the Abyss Bar in-between missions for a beer or three. Lloyd can hook you up with a variety of flavors, including the Daily Special which will give useful buffs for your missions!

Alright, briefing is over. Management wishes you success in your endeavors. Now get to work.

- Community Tips -
> Annoying that guy in Mission Control is a beloved pastime of the dwarves of Space Rig 17. After all, we're the ones risking life and limb! Tagging compressed gold with your Laser Pointer is perhaps the greatest way to do this.
> Communicate with your team when pursuing the main/side objective! Certain mission types proceed in stages, with breaks in-between to restock ammo, pursue side objectives, etc. Take advantage of those quiet moments!
> Salute your teammates! If you Rock and Stone, you're never alone.
