"The Dark Souls of First Person Shooters"



I played this before Fallout 3, or many other open worlds like this.

Honestly, I still feel this was the better experience.

Years later, I am still holding this in a list of games I will get back to when my list has been exhausted.

The Stalker Complete mod and all of the other additions to the community will make for a fresh run and the atmosphere is really worth the investment of time.

You will spend a lot of time dragging a dead body full of weapons to sell.
You will spend a lot of time stalking a camp to scope the situation.
You will have fun in the sewers. ;)

I mean, honestly, yeah the game has it's issues (age being the least of um). The story is confusing and feels a bit incomplete, but the experience is just what I want in a game.

I played through all three, purchased them over and over for friends, I think if you can get a groove here and settle in to beat the game and actually explore more than you do what you are told, you will probably get your money and more out of this.

If you cry alot about alot of imperfections and other lame crap, you will probably find something to boo hoo about in the STALKER series.

If you don't mind the time it takes to get the ball really rolling, keep at this game, and be sure to play the entire series. I honestly find it to be one of the most satisfying series I have ever completed, I was really saddened the IP went out the way it did. STALKER2 was lookin pretty sweet.

Really, why do I need to convince you of anything?

Either you whine about things and won't like it anyway, or you should probably score this from Bundlestars as a set. Really, just effin do it, why are you wasting my time?
