Continues from where we left off in the 7:th game.
Three years after the incident in Louisiana we continue to follow Ethan and Mia which at this point have gotten a child and moved to Europe. Living a good life together, the past still continues to haunt Ethan and have a rough time to relax and just enjoy life. When things seems to be calm the one thing not allowed to happen happend. Chris shoots Mia and takes the baby away from Ethan. During the transport of Rose (The Daughter) and Ethan, the truck gets attacked and people end up dying, Rose missing and Ethan left for dead in the snow. Ethan wakes up and are now on his own, trying to find out why this happend and where Rose is.

Graphics of the game is amazing especially in 4K. However at some scenarios there existed a few situations where some textures are extreamly low but hardly often enough where it became annoying. There exist some places in the game where preformance took a hit, I sometimes needed to save the game, go to main menu and click continue to get back into the game to stabilize. The sound quality of the game is very well done and adds to the atmosphere. For me personally the voicelines to Ethan can be a bit dull alot of the times, but apart from the voicelines it is close to superb.

Boss battles can be a little too easy at times even at Hardcore difficulty, even in "Village of Shadows" difficulty to be honest. Sadly "Madhouse" difficulties changes that added to the gameplay of RE 7 don't exist in this game. Village of Shadows difficulty was more like "Lets add 100% more HP to all enemies." which is a bummer.

In this game you get to know alot more about Umbrella, Ethans story alongside with everything else you can imagine. It really is one huge pack of lore built into this one game. Overall this might be taking the first place amoung my favorite games of all time. Loved Resident Evil 7 and it was my favorite game for a solid 4 years and now the eighth installment took the spotlight (Even finished all achievements). Solid game and doubt you be disappointed. 9/10 with a solid Badass seal of approval.
