I started playing dota since 5.84c from Warcraft 3 when it was a mod.
Back then I used to skip school because it was a fun past time with friends and I remember how awesome it was when the 5 of us friends battled another team in person in the very same cyber cafe. We could see who we were playing with and at the end of the game, we would feel closer because of our teamwork. Often we would go cycling or go for a meal after and it was an amazing time.

Fast forward to today, this game may have similar sounding characters and probably given a decimal of 2 at the end of the brand, but it's not the same game. To me, dota has always been on local area network with friends. But when I log on to this game, there are only people who insult me, say and treat me badly and make me feel worse off.

The makers of this game are geniuses though. They know how to make an addictive product that plays with you need for status and how amazing it feels when you cyber bully somone online. I have played this game a lot, maybe more than any other game in my life, but I cannot remember myself having fun even when I was winning.

It felt a lot like a slot machine that's playing me. Anyhow, I have said goodbye to this game and the people who flock to a game like this. I wish you all well in your Valhalla.
