10/10 best game ever would buy for my buddies

In my opinion, The Genesis Project is a great recreation of Sburb, but it does have some problems.


The combat is a bit janky and quite boring, The combat with enemies last for a few seconds and you only have a few enemies to fight against, some of wich you only encounter in dungeons. Weapons are quite buggy, with hits sometimes not registering and your character getting stuck when doing certain moves. Ranged weapons in this game are also unreliable, with shots not registering and being inaccurate. Making Melees practically the only reliable weapons.

You can also softlock yourself by pure accident, or by doing something else, ( like using a special attack, for example. ) which can cost you your entire session.


Dungeons sometimes don't work, with the character not even being able to enter some of them, you can also get stuck if the enemies in the room are clustered together, making you teleport in and out of the dungeon until you die. From what i've seen, dungeons have about two to three variations.

Currently the towns are useless, with only having some salamanders with a bit of dialogue.


The character customization in the game is quite good, but it's a bit limited when it comes to choosing colors. You can only choose one singular color for your hair, and your clothes, which limit the player's creativity. But other than that, there are a lot of hair options and clothes that you can choose from, which is quite nice. And the game's workshop offers more clothes and accessories!


Genesis Project's workshop has some great mods, right now it doesn't have that many, but i believe that there'll be more along the year.


After all of that, i do believe that The Project Genesis is overall a great game, some bugs can affect your experience, but they'll also make it more fun, or just plain ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i do recommend playing with friends since it can get pretty boring while playing solo, and you'll be able to experience certain kinds of bugs that will probably make you laugh, or make you want to uninstall the game.

Other than that, if you have lots of free time on your hands and are looking for a rather painful fun experience, The Genesis Project is for you!
