Definition of not a good remake, but a GREAT remake! In Silent Hill 2 remake, you play once more as the legendary protagonist James Sunderland who is in search for his presumably deceased spouse Mary Shepherd-Sunderland, in the thick fogs of eerie and beautiful town of Silent Hill. Characters in the game are genuinely amazing, the voice acting was top-notch, just... chef's kiss is what I have to do because of all that. Moving on, from time to time, you are sure to meet with mysteries, perplexities, and a lot of enemies with disturbing appearances in James' unruly adventure, the same enemies that have very unpredictable attempts of taking James down (Do not take them for granted). Speaking of which, Silent Hill 2 offers modernized over the shoulder third person camera perspective. The game also has completely overhauled combat system, whether it's close range or far range. In addition, dodging mechanic's also introduced which helps James to avoid incoming attacks from enemies. The plot of this game is one of a kind, truly unique and special in it's own ways, Bloober Team nailed it when they had decided to remake this game, not only they stayed true to the original counterpart of the game, but improvised it even further, adding more content to it, and this which I'll not dive too deep in. Graphically, Silent Hill 2 remake offers stunning visuals if we put aside the constant, unkempt fog's presence throughout the whole game. Not to mention, the game's performance's been gradually improved compared to its initial release, as it is visible now in the latest patch released by the developers, which had reduced dozens of stuttering and crashing issues on many other devices, so, it is safe to say that the game runs somewhat smoother than before. To wrap it all up, Silent Hill 2 remake is a spectacular piece of entertainment, it is definitely worth the price and I definitely recommend it. It is a MUST play video game. 10/10 remake. Good remake, but short ;( - I can recommend, but only get it on discounts!

I've enjoyed every single second of 100%-ing this masterpiece. One of my favorite Resident Evil games ever, it is great overall with top-notch gameplay and immersive world. Definitely worth getting the Gold Edition instead of regular edition as the Gold Edition brings out more content to the game itself and more activities to partake in... (3rd person camera throughout the whole story, Shadow of Rose DLC, more playable characters in the Mercenaries Mode with their own unique abilities, perks and traits). 10/10 game, recommended!

IT'S WESKIN' TIME!

good game, but overhated.

One of the best remakes of a video game I've EVER played!! Very well made, atmosphere is everything in one: beautiful, different, and scary. Hopefully the Resident Evil 5 remake will be as great as this masterpiece or even Code Veronica. Hats off to Capcom!

DETRAS DE TI IMBECIL

pathetic mess of a port this game is, it may never even be properly optimized for PC, crashes constantly (other users have also been complaining about this issue) and some FPS drops are present, even if you tried to verify files in order to eliminate the issue results into recompiling shaders and just lose your precious time, which is a darn shame. Other than that, game is flawless and great in terms of story and gameplay along with graphics. Not recommended, for now.
