Silent Hill 2 Remake is a fresh upgrade to the original Silent Hill 2 that adopts the gameplay of the resident evil games. I think it's scarier than the other franchise with a decent story. You play as James Sunderland who is a "loving" husband.

Positives:

+ A great story with memorable characters
+ Stunning visuals if you have a beefy PC
+ Nice ambient sounds
+ Creepy enemies that can jump scare you easily
+ Multiple endings (some are from the original and some are new)
+ Pyramid head :O

Negatives:

- Unreal Engine 5 makes the game stutter a lot even on high end PCs.(It's definitely playable on high settings, but it's another UE5 game that stutters)
- Easy to miss collectibles (so make sure you make frequent manual saves)
- Maria looks old
- You can get stuck on corpses which is a major pain in the ****

Overall:

A solid horror game that's worth to be played by any enthusiast of the genre. Maybe wait for a sale or play the original. It's a bit expensive coming at about 70$. (MSRP)

Silent hill 2 is one of the most unique stories I've ever seen, it's one of those games that once you finish it, you can't recover from the story, acting and soundtrack.
Overall, Silent Hill 2 is a must-play for any horror genre or story enthusiast
10/10 must play

Game crashes on launch which should never be the case for a game that dares to ask 70 euros from their players.
