I really liked it. Except when I didn't.

It's a fun game, but a mixed bag when it comes to stealth. You're playing a superhuman badass who can take on 100 guards at the same time without breaking a sweat. You‘re ridiculously overpowered right from the get go, which runs contrary to why you‘d want to stealth a mission. In Thief, you hide from enemies because they'll turn you into minced meat. Here you hide from enemies because you'll turn THEM into minced meat - which will give you the bad ending.

There are other issues that make this a less than ideal stealth game:
- No proper directional audio
- The AI does such a poor job at communicating its current status that the devs implemented silly icons floating above their heads
- You can‘t hide in the shadows, instead maps are cluttered with all sorts of rubbish for you to crouch behind
- The AI is either hyper-aware or completely oblivious. It has a knack for instantly sending the entire map of enemies after you once a single foe goes into KILL!-mode. They all suddenly know where you are. The devs balance this out by making the AI basically vertically blind. They won't notice you leaning out from a hiding spot, even if you start sniping NPCs standing right next to each other.
- 90% of the upgrades are completely useless for a pure ghosting run, since they only serve to turn you from an unstoppable killing machine into an even more unstoppable killing machine.

It is, however, hands-down the best fish/rat-feeding simulator on the market. Turning enemies into critter feed, chopping them up or hacking into turrets is great fun!

Since Dishonored allows for a multitude of playstyles, I'll give it separate ratings:
I give "Dishonored - The Sir Lancelot crashes a wedding party-Simulator" a 5/5
I give "Dishonored - Feed the Fishies" a well-earned 5/5
I give "Dishonored - The Spiritual Thief Successor" a very generous 3/5

Overall a 4/5. Seems appropriate, but I‘ll graciously round it up to 5/5, because it *IS* a fun game.
