This game is so short, you'd probably be able to rush the main story in your first go and subsequently refund the game - but you'll miss out on the bonus content which I have yet to play. It started off quite boring but ended up real fun later on; a solid tidesfordrive I'd say.

Oh, and don't finish it and refund. That'd just be lame..

Good tidesfordrive if one sayer so.

A classic game that is not too long and does not feel repetitive. The missions are usually guns blazing or Sneaky Beaky like, or a mix of both; would be a perfect game for me had they thrown in some challenging puzzles, although this is probably not the style they desired to begin with. You will probably encounter a few technical issues, however, such as crashes when playing in widescreen; have patience and remember to read the forums on Steam when troubleshooting.

This is an old game, treat it as such.

PROS: awesome setting (RE is the best) and mystery; good pacing (although a little bit too slow sometimes, especially with all the door-opening sequences..) and clever puzzles; quite challenging for a singleplayer game.

CONS: Garbage controls that will require some time to get used to; perhaps a bit too long – although this is entirely dependent on how much experience you have with these kind of puzzles and controls – this was my first time playing through a RE game and the greatest puzzle must have been in the beginning, when you're somehow supposed to open a f*cking jewelry box; do you use your knife? Or maybe a screwdriver? How about running around clueless for an hour? Or perhaps just pay a little more attention to the the examine sequence, just one more time..

Overall: a very good game for a m*therf*cker.

I cannot help but feel sorry for the people who truly enjoys this game, for all there is; you shoot, you click 'R' (by which you guy reloads his little musket) and you stand there for 30 seconds doing nothing, just waiting for the animation to finish - then repeat. When you actually engage in melee it's the same thing there, just spam the attack button, nothing more..

At least, if you're going to have EXTREMELY long realistic reloading times, add some kind of mini-game in there, so the player has something to do during the time, and if he's good at the mini-game the musket will load faster; if he's bad, well, then the musket might load but you'll end up getting a misfire or something.

I see potential here, I actually do; reloading your musket is such a big part of this game, that experienced players should be able to reload faster due to skills acquired playing the game (yes, you'd be a GOOD player if you're able to reload your musket faster) + the melee combat also needs a lot of work (I'm sure you're doing just that though).

At this current state I cannot recommend this game to any sane person. If you find your time on this earth precious - stay the hell away from this braindead musket-loading simulator.
