Definitely a must play for anyone who loves puzzle games. This game has a pretty silly sense of humour which definitely adds to the charm, love the easter eggs and funny secret achievements.
This game isn't particularily long, which in my opinion wroks better for it, the loop of the game does get rather dull after a while. I found it a bit of slog to get through in the act before the last, but overall its definitely worth a playthrough.

I love boomer shooters, but I'll be honest I find a lot of them get pretty boring toward the final third of their respective games. Turbo Overkill, however, does not suffer from this. This game had my eyes glued to the screen for the entire time I was playing. So many awesome design choices, I love sliding into enemies like the absolute nuthouse I am.

Who ever said your game has to be pretty to be good? I'll be honest this game gave me a massive headache first time I played it, got to the second mission and refunded because it was just too much for me, but something kept drawing me back. I always heard good things, one day I came back and sometime into the 3rd mission things clicked for me and I fell in love. Fantastic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Absolute 10/10.

Absolute madlad of a game. Avoid spoilers as much as possible, this game is WILD! All I will say is its a rouge-like and even though I absoultely suck at it, this game is incredible.

I knew nothing about this game save for it was made by a youtuber and was a Metroidvania.
I almost want to leave my review empty for here because every moment you have unspoiled in this game is worth more than gold. This game oozes with style both visually and mechanically. One of the secrets in this game is damn cool it instantly bumped this to my game of the year. Those who know, know. I don't even want to hint at what it is.

All I can say is. Billy you are insane and I love your game. 10/10

If you can get past all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you're looking at maybe 20 hours of content but I wouldn't get my hopes up, unless you absolutely love this game, it'll be just another game collecting dust in your library.

"Not that way cowboy" was removed in this remake. 0/10 uninstalling and refunding. Don't play this game. Trash.

An absolutely astonishing concept for a game, however it does lack a few qualities. First of all, there are only really two bosses in the game, one of which you fight literally like 9 times with differing variations. Also majority of enemies you fight will be fought over and over. This is pretty typical of arena shooters but I feel like they introduce every variation of enemy too quickly so it really doesn't feel fresh after the first 4 or 5 missions. Also, and this is just a personal opinion, as an elitist metalhead I found the music choice to be a little bit disappointing. The first few artists who make a cameo are pretty good. We get singers from Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy, Lamb of God, etc. But I was really hoping for some Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Sabaton, Iron Maiden, etc. Instead we pretty much get stuck with metalcore the entire game. Like I said thats more of a personal thing.
However the game as a whole is pretty fun and I would absolutely recommend it at a discounted price.

For a free to play game this is some top tier game design, in a nutshell it's basically if Halo and Portal had a kid. It's only pvp but the gameplay is top notch and deserves every bit of praise it gets, in fact I'd say it plays a little bit better than Halo in terms of mechanics. There a small amount of issues but its still in beta so most if not all my complaints can be forgiven. The only things I would change are to change some of the map layout on Forgone Destruction as it is extremely exploitable in the oddball gamemode. Also the sniper stream is a bit too thick so sometimes misses look like they should have hit and hits look like they should have missed, but this is a very small problem. The only large problem I have is some of the maps have a bit of a verticality problem, its extremely difficult on some maps to traverse upwards due to lack of portal walls, this can be especially a problem if you have an objective like capture the flag or oddball and you're on a time crunch.

There are microtransactions and they can be a bit expensive, all is forgiven considering this game is 100% free, and its not pay to win, theyre literally just skins and from my experience none of the skins are able to blend into environments. Even if they did most of the team gamemodes automatically swap colours into extremely bright blues and reds so its extremely easy to identify your targets.

All in all this is a very good game and I can't wait to see what else comes in the future for this game. 9/10
