This game is outdated, but still super cool!
TL/DR:
Buy this game if you look for a "fresh" version of the H&S genre, even though it has many flaws, it is still very exciting and fun.

So i picked this game up since it was on sale. I had it on CD many years ago but never installed it.

Sacred is very unforgiving when it comes to fighting, first time i played the game i died around 10 times by the first group of enemies. In other famous H&S games like diablo and grim dawn enemies tend to be more "careful" and not stay to close to settlements, villages etc.

In Sacred they can be in the outskirts of the city. And if you have a horde of enemies chasing you, you can´t take safe haven in a city, they'll just follow you and deal with you in there.

Still, the graphics are outdated, the voice-work is cringy at times, but it still have so much to offer.

Pros:
  • Many different kinds of enemies, as in a lot! Diablo 2 re-used alot of their old characters with new colours.
  • A huuuuuge map! And exploration is key! I was lost for 2 hours because i tried a different road, but it was exciting, since the map is filled with cities, caves and biomes to be explored. The map is also made by devs.
  • A lot of loot to choose from, but not an overwhelming amount
  • You can ride a horse
  • Fighting enemies is difficult, especially in the beginning.
  • You are in charge of how you want your character to become.

    Cons:
  • outdated graphics, it looks like a game around or before 2000 (the game was released in 2006, crysis in 2007)
  • Bugs, espcecially with some quests (you can find them on Google) one of them stops you from completing most other quests.
  • Alooot of quests. Personally i don´t mind, but having so many quests gets dull and trivial. most of them is very similar to each other anyways.
