I'm currently playing Morrowind for the first time to completion, I've played a bit before and I got stuck on the combat, or the fact that the game just throws you in the pool and demands you swim.

But please, swim.

This game is amazing. The atmosphere is unlike any fantasy game I've played before. Whether you're reading a book, conversing with a NPC, or exploring a cave somewhere, you're given a glimpse into the captivating, compelling world that is Morrowind. The gameplay is flawed, and there are the expected Bethesda glitches and bugs, but there's just something about this game that is absolutely special.

This game isn't afraid to let you get lost, there's no tutorial outside of the basic controls and combat. Your character build actually matters-- if you didn't choose alchemy as a skill, your character won't know how useful certain plants are. It's these little things that make Morrowind brilliant. You're thrust into this world expected to survive as everything around you is demanding that you don't. If you just persevere, you'll be given a gaming experience you'll never forget.
